OK, I'm a professional photographer with 2 published books (JOHN CAGE WAS is the last one.) I am unfortunately also a Luddite. Not a good combination! I like and am very comfortable with the old Photoshop 3 which I have been using for many years, scanning old B&W negatives from the 60's with my Hassleblad X5 and working on them without lots of tricks. I don't understand the new Photoshop applications and don't particularly want to. Unfortunately while my old Mac G5 runs CS3 new Macs...

Hi, In Manual mode when shooting photos I have level meter displayed, I've assigned a C3 button (trash button) as my focus magnifier (zooms x5.9 on one click and x 11.7 on second click), this is great because it helps me to nail focus.... BUT.... When I using focus magnifier my level meter is no longer displayed??? I need that because when shooting a hyper lapse I want to make sure every photo is perfectly level. So question is, how do I turn on my Level meter when using Focus Magnifier? Thanks

Olympus OM-D 10 mark 2 According to their web site it says: Enlarged view check by magnify buttonMagnification x5, x7, x10(Default), x14 selectable I know that this happens (or at least I read that it does) when turning the focus on appropriate lenses. That said, "punch-in" focus assist magnify can be assigned on the Sony Axxx by a custom button, even with legacy lenses. Does the Olympus OMD 10 mark 2 also have this option? Or is magnify used only for review and/or native lenses?
I have had the X5 for some time but I still have problems with the settings menu. Canon made it worse with the 300 pp manual and the Quick Guide is not detailed enough. I have problems finding exactly how to change some settings in Creative modes, there are different buttons to press and the wheel works sometimes, sometimes not or unexpectedly. Some functions appear to be only accessible after pressing the "Q" button but this seem s to work only once and I have to start all over again. Not...

To start off, I first began learning photography with a Pentax X5 (point and shoot). I used this for about a year until I eagerly bought my first entry-level camera, which was the T5i. At the time, I felt this was the best camera for me because it was within my budget and easy to use. I haven enjoyed my T5i. However, it has been a little over a year since I first bought it and within that time I have outgrown this camera and have also grown frustrated with it's limited capabilities. The...
I use an NEX 6 for astrophotography and have some questions about the resolution setup, especially for planetary videos. I am trying to attain the 1:1 pixel ratio, (non resampling) and to illuminate as many pixels as possible, to bring out the fine details. This may also pertain to long exposure deep sky imaging. 1. Can this camera access the Sensor's Native Pixel Resolution? 2. In doing planetary videos, for frame stacking, is there a video crop mode? 3. Does the camera have a magnified...

Hi everybody, A friend of mine just bought an Inspire 1 drone with a Zenmuse X5R camera on it and the R stands for RAW. Of course when he shoots in RAW it just saves the footage as a whole stack of .DNG files that need to then be converted to video format. What I have done is imported all the. DNG files into Lightroom and played around with them and then exported them as .TIFF files then imported those .TIFF files into MAGIX Edit Pro 2016 (I am using that program as I was a free giveaway with...
