I purchased this one to replace an Olympus that has finally pooped the bed in some waves in the Dominican. We have constantly punished this camera through winter ski trips, I cant count how many times I have crashed on the camera and it keeps taking pic's. I use it for mountain biking had have had it bounce out of my pack on several occasions, I finally found a non technical carbine and attached it to my camera in place of the wrist strap so I can attach the camera to my bike, Pack or belt.  ...

In spite of bed reviews, this camera has performed flawlessly during a two weeks snorkelling trip The files posses good latitude for post processing, and the results have nothing to complain about. No leakage problems: I think that the cutsomesr that grumblw here just have not paid enough attention to shutting the "door" with a firm click.

I bought the FT4 about 4 hours ago and have taken some 240 pictures and a few videos at late afternoon, twilight, in the dark and indoors and I think that it exceeds my expectations with one exception - the hammering noise when recording video (and it's bad!). Good news is that I've figured out the what, why and when of it, so I can work around it, but it remains one of the biggest engineering oversights I've ever seen in a camera.
