My 1st post here, just wandered over from the Panasonic Compact Forum. I'd be interested to hear what MFT/Lens combos people have been using for birding and what results they've been getting. I'd especially like to hear from people who moved up from long zoom "bridge" cameras.I've been dabbling in bird photography for several years with a progression of Panasonic FZ cameras, currently with an FZ150. I think it's time to move up to something with better image quality and dynamic range than I...
Hi. Forgive me if this has already been covered, I couldn't find anything to about it. I have a Panasonic FZ 150. If I shoot in jpeg mode, no problem. If I shoot in jpeg and raw modes together, or raw mode alone the raw mode shot always shows up like this. I don't use lens filters or lens hoods so it isn't that. The jpeg shot always shows up clear, the raw always is vignette. Is it something I am doing, or is it the camera?

I have been shooting surf videos using both an FZ150 and a GH3 (mft). Both set for AVCHD 1920x1080p 60fps. (I shoot 60fps because it lends itself to great slo-mo and freeze frames later.) I am hard-pressed to see any qualitative difference in the footage. It seems that the 2mp format really levels the playing field for IQ, at least in good light. However, the FZ150 offers one major advantage: I can focus at wide angle, start shooting, and zoom all the way in without losing focus. This is...
Hello, Forgive me if this question is covered elsewhere, but I haven't been able to find it. I have been shooting video with an FZ150, set for AVCHD progressive, quality PSH (1920x1080). According to the manual, the resulting video should be 50fps. However, once the file is on my computer (PC, Win7) if I right-click the file and look at "Properties" (Detail) it shows 29fps. Pixels remain at the 1920x1080 setting. Any ideas on why I'm apparently not getting the frame rate specified in the...

I've had the Panasonic FZ150 for a couple of years; I've taken 1000's of pictures and always been satisfied with its performance. Recently, however, when focusing on a shot, I will see lens dust in the view finder and it will be seen on the imagine after taking it. If I turn the camera off, or change the mode, the dirty lenses condition will disappear, the focus is clear and no dust. Is this something I can correct/fix or am I going to have to send it to a "service center" I've attached...
I'm looking for a small external flash to be used as fill flash with the FZ150. I'll probably only use it for macro because the built in flash is blocked by the conversion lens/tube. Any suggestions on what to get? Thanks. Oh, I want something cheap and small. --yuki
