So after pondering for a few days I decided I will keep my Oly 12.I was going to sell that, pay the difference and get a Nocticron. But I think I rather keep the 12 and go for a cheaper 45 (or 42.5)Now the question comes between these 2.Oly 45 1.8 or Pana 42.5 1.7.I own an E-P5 so OIS is not needed, but, that aside, and price difference between both not being a hindrance. Which would be the superior lens?Oh and... if anyone thinks that selling the 12 and going for the Nocticron is still more...

Hi everyone,Thanks in advance to everyone out here, been reading lot´s of threads in this forum for some time now. And thanks to many of your posts Q and As... I finally bought an Olympus Pen E-P5, alongside a 17mm f1.8 and a used 12mm f2.0.After playing arround with the kit 14-42--- I am quite set on primes, I don´t fancy zooms thaaat much.I am thinking maybe the focal distance between this two lenses I got is too little... and to be quite honest... the 17mm sits on my camera 99% of the...

When I try to edit a picture in the camera I get a sign that says The image cannot be edited. This holds good for every pic on the memory card. I thought that the pictures were protected so I pressed the Reset Protect button and Yes, which should delete every protection of the images. That did not help. I swapped the memory card for an older card taken with the same camera. The same thing happened, all images were protected from editing. Where is the fault, what should I do? Lars-Eric Häggman

I own Olympus E-P5 with 17mm f/1.8, 45mm f/1.8 and 40-150mm f/4.0-5.6 lenses Is it worth the money to invest in Voigtlander 25mm f/0.95? I wonder how easy it is to work on its manual focus? I hope anyone with experiences can share it with me. I read a lot about Voigtlander, I wonder if the image quality is a lot better than 45mm f/1.8?

Hello guys. My E-520 has just surpassed the 32K shutter mark. Although it's showing signs of aging (dead pixels, sudden shooting mode change from A to P or SCENE, etc) but overall it's still as capable as when I first bought it used way back in 2009. I mainly shoot two kinds of subjects: slow and slower. No sports for me or BIFs. Or anything that moves fast. Now, unless I find King Solomon's mine, I won't be able to afford the E-M1 which is my first choice as I still would like to use my...

Hello All I have an Olympus E-P5 specific question, (looking at Guy Parson) When I use the shutter priority mode on my camera, my live view doesn't show the exposure change when I make whatever adjustment, only the Aperture number blinking when it was under or over expose, is that normal? I took some pic while the aperture number was blinking and it either turns out under or over expose. is there anyway to make the live view on the LCD show the exposure changes like it does as in M mode? --My...

A couple of years ago, I was planning a trip to Europe and decided that I was not so inclined to carry my D7000 around and preferred something lighter. After some investigations I settled on an Olympus OMD E-M5 and as a backup an E-P5. For lenses, I have finished up with (ignoring the kit lenses):- Olympus 12-40 f2.8 PRO Sigma 60mm f2.8 Sigma 19mm f2.8 Panasonic 7-14 f4 I've never been unhappy with the images coming out of the m4/3 gear but I've been less than impressed with the reliability....

Just on a whim this morning I mounted my Olympus 43s' 12-60mm F2.8/4.0 zoom on my µ43s' E-P5 camera and it does hunt for a second but seems to acquire focus after this minor hunting. I thought PDAF 43s' lenses would only focus with PDAF? What's up, I thought the E-P5 was CDAF only? --"Reality leaves a lot to the imagination." John Lennon

i have an E-P1 that I bought when it was first released (2009?), and the 14-42 and 40-150 kit lenses that came with it.  I like the size and style of the PEN cameras but I haven't used mine much in recent years do to lack of opportunity.  However, I will be going on a cruise this summer and want to take lots of photos and videos. I am very interested in upgrading to newer versions of the lenses, but I am confused about which lenses are the best/newest versions. There seems to be a very wide...

On my Olympus E-P5, I have noise reduction (called noise filter) set to Off. I want to do the same on my new GX8, but can't find it anywhere in the menus (by the way, I don't see any advantage in Panasonic menus over Olympus so far!). Even when I search the Basic and Advanced PDF manuals, I can't find any mention of it, it only tells you how to do it when doing a RAW-Jpg conversion in camera. Not for when taking Jpgs. Can anyone tell me how to do it? It's quite possibly the same as on other...
