Lately, I've had a few shots taken with my E-M5 from which I have been unable to achieve the results I want using Lightroom CC. Either I can't get smooth tonal gradations, or I can't get the contrast and detail I want without colours looking false. I am trying to determine if this is a weakness with the E-M5 RAW files, LR, or just my editing skills. Or perhaps I am expecting too much. I have used LR since it came out, but only occasionally use Photoshop. I have tried DXO OP, Raw Therapee and...

I am considering selling my Olympus OMD EM5 Mk2 and my 14 - 150 lens and buying a Fujifilm XT2 with the 18 to 135 lens. I travel and need a one lens system, the new OMD EM1 Mk2 is too expensive but I want to upgrade and I am tempted by the XT2's resolution, sensor size and native 3:2 aspect ratio. I have an X30 so I know the Fuji film interface. Does anyone have any thoughts to help me make the final move?

I purchased the omd em5 when it first came out and now have a range of olympus lenses to suit. The camera is getting little tired and I'm seeking advice which camera to update to. They seem to be getting bigger and heavier which takes away some of the zing of the original 4/3 system. Do I stick to Olympus with the lenses I have?

I think I have a reasonably good understanding of all the debating regarding sensor and lens equivalency. The crop factor and sensor size dictate the reach, light gathering ability, and possible depth-of-field effect in comparison to a 35mm camera. Nevertheless I was wondering if anyone would care to provide a more detailed explanation of the pros and cons of equivalence and how it applies to my cameras, as examples. For example, which is the best choice for a 300mm shot in less than sunny...

Hello everyone and Happy New year from Down Under in Australia. I have a simple question re this new model - Has the auto focus improved over previous OMD models? My photography experience has been primarily 35mm with a range of high end film SLR's,over 20+ years with some great results.   I moved to digital 10 years ago, with Canon products, right up a 5D.  Over the past few years I've invested in Olympus OMD u4/3rds products, starting with a OMD EM5, then an EM5 Mk2.  I have the following...

Hello, I have been reading some threads about remote shutters and from these i chose to get a Pixel 221 with UC1 Connection for my Olympus OMD EM5 Mark II. My Problem is i can't get it to connect. When i plug it in and turn the camera on it comes up with the screen to pick usb modes, storage, mtp ect. I tried all of them and none will allow me to get past that screen with the remote shutter release plugged in. When i hit exit, it just says remove USB cable.  Is there a setting i need to turn...

Does anyone know a good photo-stitch software for Mac?  I tried Photoshop and Lightroom 6 for a while, but stitching just a few shots takes forever!  I shoot in RAW (.orf files from an Oly EM5), and I liked the fact that at the end Lr creates a massive RAW file, but the time it takes just doesn't cut it for me.  Thanks!!!!

Yesterday evening, while taking some photo's of my daughter, the EVF turned bright white and the camera froze. After some inspection, I noticed the shutter is jammed in the close postion. So when removing the lens I see the shutter. I have tried everything but nothing seems to work: - Remove battery - Making sure the battery is charged - tried switching on/off with different lenses or no lens at all - gently knocking the camera on the base plate as suggested in other forums. I have nothing on...

Dear all, The shutter release on my OM-D E-M5 is getting difficult in its old age. Sometimes I feel the half-way point, but much of the time, there is no longer any difference between half-way down and all the way down. When I pick up my camera and start shooting, I can usually the half-way point, and if I turn on sound, I hear the usual beep for AEL/AFL. But after I shoot for a little while (maybe 5 shots), I stop feeling the half-way point and the camera just takes the picture without ever...
