I recently purchased the this camera and a 12-40mm 2.8 lens, and am slowly learning how to use it - I find the menus etc much more complex than my 5D, but I shall get there. My question is - has anyone had any problems with the focus mode on this camera? Initially the camera was fine, but somehow I changed the focus mode to MF, and there it stays. The manual instruction is to highlight the focus mode section and then change it via the front dial. All the other icons will change with this...

Hi there, This is my first post here, really hoping someone might be able to help me, as I haven't been able find anything online about this issue. I have had my Olympus OMD EM5 for about 5 years now but about two years ago it started doing this flickering between iAuto and Art filters, without me moving the dial. Sometimes it changes to an art filter and doesn't change back, so I accidentally shoot with the filter on. This is completely intermittent, sometimes wont happen for days, sometimes...
I was very disappointed to find my EM-5 non functional when I went to use it two days ago. It is completely unresponsive, I cannot even hear the IBIS activating when I throw the switch. This camera has already been repaired twice; once for the same issue and once before to fix the PASM dial. I think that I have reached the end of my tether when it comes to giving Olympus money on this particular body, but I would like to get it working again as it is my primary camera. If anyone on this...
I am currently looking at the Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark II and the Panasonic Lumix G9 for a possible, hopefully near-future upgrade to my E-M5. The goal is, mainly, to get better continuous autofocus. The lens I use most at the moment is the Olympus 40-150mm f/2.8, along with the 1.4x teleconverter. I don't think I will replace it with a Panasonic equivalent for DFD, hence my question: Has anyone tried using continuous autofocus with one of the latest Panasonic cameras, and an Olympus "PRO"...
How fast is the readout speed of the 20MP sensor of the Pen-F? I wan't to try to estimate how severe the rolling shutter effect of the Pen-F is. If you use the electronic shutter the data of a single image takes some time to been read. Faster readout means lower rolling shutter. The OMD EM5 II has a readout speed of 1/20s. The Panasonic GM1 has a readout speed of 1/25s. The OMD EM1 II is said to be twice as fast as the Pen-F. But how fast is this?

One of the reasons i left m43 was that my favorite uwa lens (panasonic 7-14m) had purple mess when used on olympus bodies. Did olympus ever fix that issue? https://www.dpreview.com/forums/thread/3946187 https://www.dpreview.com/forums/post/50849916 "Olympus 7-14 does purple blobs too." http://trevinchow.com/blog/2012/10/24/olympus-om-d-e-m5-panasonic-7-14-bad-combo/ "Olympus OM-D E-M5 + Panasonic 7-14 = Bad Combo"
