Having used an Oly E3 intensively since it first became available years ago, the camera has developed its first fault, and rather a serious one I fear. I now get whiteout of the image as if it has been severely overexposed, but with a small area of "shadow" to one side rather like when you photograph your own finger tip when it has covered the lens. I fear it may be the sensor at fault. The problem temporarily cured itself for a few shots, but has now gone back to fault mode. I have tried...
Hello, I am a beginner working on jewelry product photography, I've left a couple of threads here before. I took my first attempt a few days ago, and found out it really isn't easy. I really cannot figure out why the color of my background, which is a white acrylic board, looks so yellow or blue. I've tried both auto and custom white balance. I heard a lot of praise for the CCD DSLRs such as the E-1, A350, and K100D Super. Some say they have better color rendering some say they have a "film-like look". I'm eager to actually experiment and test as to what these claims actually mean and so am thinking of getting a used 2nd hand DSLR with a CCD sensor. I am not considering Nikon because I do not have any Nikon glasses atm. The Sony CCD DSLRs such as the A350, A380, A390, appear to have the newest CCD (for a DSLR not including Leica...

For half a decade, there was basically a single 4-contact model of Olympus battery pack for Four Third cameras for years, with a standard charger (the followed an earlier, equally functional but faster rapid charger that had come with the E-1). This worked with the E-1 and E-3 and also the E300 and 330, the E-500, (and also the E-510 and 520?) The E-5 did introduce a new same-form-factor 5 contact model that required a new, distinctively white 5-contact charger, but it also works with the...
