Hello, I'm not referring to their differing specifications, which are easy to find, but to any comparisons in actual use/tests, e.g. sharpness, contrast, flare control, speed of autofocusing, etc. If there is such a comparison, I would appreciate being directed to it. (I want to know if it's worthwhile switching from the older to the newer lens. I use a Nikon D5100 and a Nikon D5500.) Thank you. --RUcrAZhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7scQbWkeNaY

I currently have a Nikon D5100 and have been thinking of upgrading to a D7500, why? because I want a faster camera for focusing on birds, have been reading reviews and yes not many like the D7500 but it doesn't worry me about having only one slot, that's all my 5100 has. why not upgrade to the next in the 5000 line? because I always wanted to upgrade to the 7000 series cameras and like the layout, I like the idea of 8 frames a second, touch screen, tilt screen, I am use to the touch screen on...

Because of a couple of problems with my elderly 5100 I have just bought a new 5600. I have to photograph an event in 3 days & am wondering if anyone can advise on any major diferences between the 2 cameras which are not obvious. I have just about identified where the 5600 controls are & should be able press the shutter at the right time. I have alse checked everythinjg that I can think of to make sure that it works. Are there any hidden differences which might impact on basic...
I've noticed lately that my pictures looks increasingly hazy - thought it was just the lighting or something, but it seems to be all the time now, and with different lenses. I use a Nikon d5100 and the images attached are shot with a Tamron 24-75 f/2.8 and a Nikkor 35 f/1.8. Sample images: The blue Corvette and the orange Camaro look hazy and the red Ferrari just looks dull and dark. Heres a shot of a blue Bentley from 2015 on the same setup for comparison: much more vibrant colors...
My 5 year old D5100 has started to have a flash problem. It only fires about 1 time in 10. Because it fires sometimes, I assume that I can't have unwittingly have changed a setting which disables the flash and that it is more likely to be an electrical/mechanical problem. If that is the case, it is unlikely that it would be worth paying to have it repaired. A new camera would be more cost effective. Does anyone have any thoughts? Thanks --Meyricke
I cannot make my D5100 focus on my arm which is about 24-30 inches from the camera. The focus mode is automatic and the focus point is set to single point with the little brackets in the center of the frame. As you can see my arm is out of focus and the background is in focus. I then take a picture of the fruitcake can at roughly the same distance from the camera and it's in focus. Why can't I get my arm in focus? Arm out of focus, background in focus At roughly the same distance as my arm in...
