Nikon AF-S Nikkor 70-200mm f/2.8G ED VR
Bought this lens along with the D700 and never looked back. Admittedly its heavy but you wouldnt expect anything less, you just know you'll get good results with it. The VR is also a great help as you can shoot at several speeds slower or a couple of stops higher. I cant fault this lens for sharpness or detail, Any minor problems can usually be sorted on the computer which is rare. I also use the lens with a Nikon 1.4 convertor making it a 280mm f4, but with not a great deal loss of qualityView review in forums Leave a comment on this review
Only thing that prevents 5/5 stars is the price tag. Love this lens! Huge and heavy, but great in the hand and just small enough to rarely get left behind. Fantastic! Problems: Filter threads bent after a 2 foot drop onto a hard floor, but no other damage sustained. Love this lens!View review in forums Leave a comment on this review
