Hello dear readers of dpreview, I'm looking for a way to digitally archive photo albums and i would like advice on a camera. Before i get to the camera part i will explain my situation and which options i have considered. I have about 104 albums with 95 pages each, each page is 30x30 (would fit in A3 with a little margin). I looked at professional digitizing services but the price comes in at 0.79 cents per page up to 1.48 per page. Which would be somewhere between 7800 and 147721. Since that...

Hello, Basically I have the RX100 V but its a camera I only use for selfies and BTS during my photoshoots. And small 4K clips of BTS so I feel like I am wasting an expensive camera in such role thus I was thinking maybe this SZ70 could be a good option that is cheaper. I can sell mine and pocket some cash after buying the ZS70 but I guess in the end only I can tell if I can live with the IQ I will get from it. I mean..really..maybe I should just be using my phone for such BTS shots..though my...

Hi - I'm an "enthusiast" level photographer getting back into DSLR after a 10 year break. I recently bought a 80D w/ 18-135 USM II and for the money it seems like a good deal. 24 MB, 7 FPS, 46 all cross type AF, etc. But, as I shoot more I'm less happy with lens choices for APS-C. I recently bought a Tamron 70-200 F2.8 G2 w/ x2 III extender. May have been dumb but I love the 70-200 on crop frame as a 100-300 equivalent tele. Specifically I'm prep'ing for a trip to Egypt where having a nice...
Hi Ladies and Gents, I'm heading off on my honeymoon to a tropical location and would love to take some wide angle shots whilst I'm there. Unfortunately, the downside of getting married and honeymoon's is a severe lack of funds! I wondered if there were any (old skool) Film Ulta Wide Angle lenses out there that don't cost the earth and would work well with an Olympus OMD EM5 Mark II? Something that would rival a modern Olympus 9-14mm. I've been looking at Konika Hexanon range but wasn't too...
I am currently stuck in a huge dilemma. I let GAS take over me and now I have an Olympus M10ii with the 12-40 f2.8 lens and a Fuji X100 with a wide angle lens. The Olympus + Lens set up costed me around 829. The X100 + Wide angle set up costed me around 555. I must let one go and I am unsure which to choose. Is there really a big difference in sensor size? I've recently found out that depth of field ends up being x2 in crop factor as well as the ISO performance for the Micro 4/3 system. I...

Hello, I am a college student doing street photography on the side for stress relief. College tuition in NYC near Wall Street is no joke so I find doing photography some type of therapy. I currently or won't be the owner of an Olympus M10ii after I sell it and decided to settle for the Fuji X100 (Original one). I shoot/shot with a 12-40mm f2.8 lens which in x2 crop factor, 24-80mm f"5.6". My questions are: 1) Would the Fuji X100T be worth an upgrade from the X100? I tend to walk fast and...
Hi, I have recently rekindled my love of photography and purchased a 2nd hand D7000 to go with my existing 18 - 200mm VR zoom lens (which seems to have developed a fault, rather annoyingly so I've just ordered a new 18 x 300 VR). The 18 - 200 has suited me well (despite the fault) but I am starting to do more nature shots and have found it lacking in the zoom department on occasion (hence the purchase of the 18 -300) but am also considering purchasing a x2 teleconverter. Appreciating that you...
I have just purchased a Tamron x2 teleconverter to use with my Tamron 70-300mm lens on my Sony a58. I don't seem to be able to take pictures in 'auto' mode. I am not a very accomplished photographer and do rely heavily on auto settings at the moment. Is this not an option with a teleconverter or is there a way to fix the problem? Thanks
