I just bought a secondhand Leica X-E. I know it is a refreshed X2. On the X2 i know the EVF from olympus works, but the X-E has another firmware. Anyone here who can confirm it works with the X-E?

I use an NEX 6 for astrophotography and have some questions about the resolution setup, especially for planetary videos. I am trying to attain the 1:1 pixel ratio, (non resampling) and to illuminate as many pixels as possible, to bring out the fine details. This may also pertain to long exposure deep sky imaging. 1. Can this camera access the Sensor's Native Pixel Resolution? 2. In doing planetary videos, for frame stacking, is there a video crop mode? 3. Does the camera have a magnified...

Hi, I have been considering buying an X vario  for some time, so long in fact that the price has fallen and fewer outlets carry them. I guess I am a bit nervous that the X vario is either or about to be discontinued. However I thought it a perfect companion to my X2 and equal to my needs. However if the X Vario is or will shortly discontinued I feel pushed toward the T. My alternative is the Leica T with the standard zoom, and I like the idea of having the 23mm F2 along side the standard zoom...

Recently I bought x2 sets whose price tag was very attractive from Amazon.de. After setting them up and tried them out I noticed that after a while they start triggering off by themselves. Does anyone know what is happening?

Hi all Stylus 1 owners For distant subjects (f.ex. birds) the 'Digital-Tele Converter x2' (DTx2) magnifies the subject in the viewfinder resp. on the rear display. Exposure is also adapted and the JPG of course (but not the RAW). Inspired by my old thought (thread): Stylus 1: free movie-rec-button and 'put it onto mode-dial' http://www.dpreview.com/forums/post/55357911 I've moved the DTx2 to Custom2 (C2) on the mode dial. For the other modes (P,A,S,M) I've set Fn1 to ND-Filter. For Custom2...

Hey all, Just wondering if there is any way i can attach my Nikon d3200 to my telescope with a lens attached. I currently have the t ring adapter with a Sky watcher reflector D= 155mm F=500 mm with a x2 barlow lens and x5 on a equatorial mount (not motorised) with a Nikon d3200 and a Nikon Zoom-Nikkor Telephoto zoom lens - 55 mm - 200 mm Just wondering if there is any way i can use both or suggestions on how i can make my telescope better. Additionally, if i can use a lens and telescope can...

I have a Leica V Lux 4 and was getting great photos with good zoom.  On the automatic setting I was using the digital zoom which took me to x48.  After a few problems I reset to factory settings and cannot now use the digital zoom on the automatic setting so it is fixed at x24  As you can tell I am quite an amateur and like the automatic setting. Any idea what I need to do to make the digital zoom work on automatic setting?  Many thanks and look forward to a simply explanation !!! Dillybean

I own a Canon 70D and am planning on getting a new lens to add to my kit. I'm a decent amateur and would like a little advice from all you pros out there. I currently own the new Tamron 15-30 2.8 Di VC...excellent lens, and the 18-135 kit lens that came with the camera package. I am leaning to buying the Canon 100-400 II IS 4.5/5.6L, all the reviews I have read say it's a great lens. But I have thought about the Canon 70-200mm 2.8L with an x2 extender. I do plan on moving up to a full frame...

Hello everyone again, My last question to you all (for now).... I'm wanting to buy myself a long lens. I currently have a 24-70 f/2.8 mk ii I will only be using a long lens occasionally and would prefer a smaller and more discreet lens than any of the big, white 70-200/70-300/70-400 zooms. (tho the 70-200 f4 is seems a possibility because its not "too" huge). My options seem to be something like the 100mm f2.8 L.......but I've tried it out and because I'm not massively interested in the macro...
