Hey guys, i have a question that i feel has to be answered by more experienced photographers. first let me say i'm not a pro , i'm getting into photography and decided to buy a mirrorless , preferably fuji, my first decision was XA1 since my budget is kinda tight right now , but the thing is i want this camera that i'm going to buy to stay with me for years (if not forever) even when i step into the PRO territory. Now if i pay this much money for a XA1 right now , it'll be highly unlikely for...

Hi I am currently using a Fuji x-a1 and I'm looking to upgrade to Sony A68. None of the shops in my area have the A68 in so I cant play with it. Ive read a lot of reviews, the a68 manual, watched youtube videos, looked at the dpreview studio pic comparison tool (sadly a68 is missing) so ive done some research. My main reasons for upgrading are: ergonomics - used a canon film slr for years and just cant get used to x-a1, viewfinder, dynamic range, convenience of having HDR / DRO in camera...

Hi there! I'm a beginner in photography and I want to have a dslr camera or so that can suit my passion in photography. For a while now, I've been watching video reviews of these two units that catches my attention: Nikon D3300  Fujifilm X-A1 Though they really differ in size, I still want to ask your opinions which one would serve me best. Before, I was using only a point and shoot camera and is really interested in macro shots of people, flowers, and small objects such as toys and...

I've just ordered a Canon Vixia HF G30 on Ebay. It's my first video camera designed for video. I've been using a Canon T3i and Zoom H1 for the past few years. I've very excited. The Canon Vixia HF G30 has canon's "mini advanced hot shoe" for accessories but I haven't seen any great accessories that take advantage of it. The only accessories I see are adaptors to a standard hot shoe. I'm wondering, and I can't be the first to think of this, would the XLR handle from one of the sibling pro XA...

This is both a rhetorical question and a practical one, and would appreciate replies from X70 users. I'm looking to see how the touch screen works, and if it would work in the specific situation I have here. I am using a XA1 with 35/1.4. (I am waiting to get the X70, but have to wait to buy it in Canada as Thailand is too expensive).  I was taking portraits of this monk in Thailand. and noticed he had a really funky wooden staff. I wanted to first get the staff in focus, and then his face in...

I'm thinking of getting either the fujifilm x-a1 or the sony a5000. I like them both, but I want to know, which one has the better image quality with the kit lens? Keep in mind that I can get either of them for 400$, so price isn't an issue. Thanks, Cormac.

I'm thinking of buying either of these, the sony a5000, or the fujifilm x-a1. I can get either camera for the same price and lenses arent a problem because i intend to buy an adapter for my old minolta rokkor-x 50mm lens. Im leaning towards the fujifilm x-a1 because I compared the reviews on photography blog and the x-a1 had better image quality. When zooming in I could see much more detail.  Please tell me which one I should buy for a beginner.  PS-  I take street photography portraits and...
