Hi! So I'm an amateur photographer in high school (15 years old) and I'm very wanting to learn nature/wildlife videography. Sadly I own a Canon 50D, which doesn't have a video feature, and I'm not willing to install Magic Lantern by any chance.. Anyways, I wanted a small camera that I can casually carry around and also use for video. I would be making videos for a class in a small art school that I'm planning to apply to, plus I am a complete novice in this area. I have about $300-350 to...

I have a Fujifilm x20 and I used the RAW converter that it came with to convert the image (RAW file converter EX powered by SilkyPix). This is my first time getting a feel for the program, as I usually shoot JPEG images. Being my first time, I feel like I did an OK job. I had two objectives: give the image strong contrast and not lose too much detail. I am not entirely sure if the execution was good... I'd like to know other's opinions or suggestions. What would you change about how this...
I have first hand experience with the Fuji XE-1, X100s and XT-1 and even the X20 p&s XT-2 AF question Anyone feel confused about the AF program options. It is a combo thing you have to choose. Just seems it will take lots of testing and maybe even a FW re-do Which one do you use for a bride walking Which for dance floor reception Which for runway fashion with the model starting say 70 feet away walking to camera say 20 feet away for a arbitrary example. Just thinking this may be a...
I'm looking to downsize from my X20 for two reasons -size and lack of full analog control. The X70 seems to be the solution but when I visited my closest camera store (where did they all go anyway?) and took it outside I was having difficulty seeing the exposure indicator (I am in my 60s so eyes are not what they once were). It wasn't even a bright day - slightly overcast actually. So my question to users is this: any trick to increasing visibility of the exposure meter on screen? I thought...
Newbie requesting advice re sharpness at distance. I would be grateful for some advice re whether I should be expecting more from my X20 . I'm very happy with the photos it produces of people/foreground but any landscape shots look smeared/blurry . I understand that the camera is best at f2.8-f5, I've set the iso at 100, switched off the face recognition, and even used the manual focussing set at infinity. at the long end. autofocus set to area, focussing on the large hotel still focussing...
I would like to purchase a "pocket" camera. eg. Fuji X20, but would like to enlarge prints to 1.2 meters by 0.9 meters. Would this camera do it ? If not, would the Lumix DMC LX100 [or similar] or would I have to go to a DSLR such as the Canon 1200D or Nikon D3100 ? Please help with the best recommendation at the lowest price [I am a pensioner]. I only take landscapes so I do not need interchangeable lenses
Hey! I bought my Fuji X20 a around 2 years ago and it had worked great. I almost have not used it the past year, and some months ago i tuned it on for the first time in some months and suddenly the view finder is blurry, and it doesn't work actually, it only doesn't show anything and instead of showing iso, shutter and focus point just all the view finder gets green when in focus, and red when the focus fails. It seems like it is somehow broken, but i have not touched it for some months and...
Hi All New to this Forum and I would need some advice from more seasoned Fuji users. I am very happy with my x20 and now that my DSLR is feeling its years, I decide to move to the X trans also for my interchangeable lenses system. I narrowed the contest between XE2 and XT1. I choose XE2 and not XE2S because apart a few buttons, I understand that with the latest firmware update, the "old" XE2 is basically a XE2S but around 400 Euro/450 USD cheaper. So here is the question: despite the obvious...
Hi everyone - I've has a good trawl through the forums here and elsewhere in the net - let's just say I'm VERY tempted with the GRii, but I have a few questions before I pull the trigger. My main subjects/uses for the camera is likely to be the kids and travel/landscape shots when I'm out and about. I've no problem with street photography as such - but I don't live in the city so it isn't something I have the opportunity to do very often. From what's I've read about the GR, autofocus can be a...
