I'm about to buy a compact for photographing in the streets. I used Fuji X20 up till now and enjoyed it very much. Deliberating between these two cameras stated above, and Canon G7x mkii. I love the 4/3 sensor in the LX100, The 24>100mm in the G7x and not crazy about Sony Menus. Anyone has experience with comparing them?
I just bought an immaculate X20 from B&H Photo, and I must've called at the right time, because the battery had half a charge, the images on it were of workstation bins, and the 32GB SDHC card was still in it. The previous owners settings suited me fine too. (it was like it just left the original owner's hands!) The only issue I have, is that I can't tell if it has an LCD Shield on it. I bought one to put on it, but I'm not sure if I'd be applying a second one. Looking at my other cameras, I...
Hi, I have noticed that when using my Fujifilm x30 in P or A on auto 800 iso with DR auto that the DR 400 setting has never kicked in high contrast scenes . My old X20 used to regularly set DR400 with the same settings. Has anyone else experienced this?. Cheers, Ian.
I have a Fijifilm X-20 on the way and was reading that the manual focus on it is done via a dial on the back. I really prefer focusing using a focus ring but this particular camera doesn't have that, just a manual zoom. I know next to nothing about using different lenses. Is there a lens out there that would allow me to have a truly manual focus with my camera?

Hello, i'm new here and i hope you can help me to solve this problem. Few days ago, i was taking pictures of my pet in manual mode, but always using the focus (AF-C or AF-S ) i tried to shoot in Manual focus but when i wanted to return or reactive the AF (autofocus : AF-S /AF-C) by selecting it from that ring, i found out that no matter what i do, the MF (manual focus) stays displayed n the screen. I want to solve this problem and im feeling desperate... hope you can help me. Thanks
Hi! So I'm an amateur photographer in high school (15 years old) and I'm very wanting to learn nature/wildlife videography. Sadly I own a Canon 50D, which doesn't have a video feature, and I'm not willing to install Magic Lantern by any chance.. Anyways, I wanted a small camera that I can casually carry around and also use for video. I would be making videos for a class in a small art school that I'm planning to apply to, plus I am a complete novice in this area. I have about $300-350 to...

I have a Fujifilm x20 and I used the RAW converter that it came with to convert the image (RAW file converter EX powered by SilkyPix). This is my first time getting a feel for the program, as I usually shoot JPEG images. Being my first time, I feel like I did an OK job. I had two objectives: give the image strong contrast and not lose too much detail. I am not entirely sure if the execution was good... I'd like to know other's opinions or suggestions. What would you change about how this...
I have first hand experience with the Fuji XE-1, X100s and XT-1 and even the X20 p&s XT-2 AF question Anyone feel confused about the AF program options. It is a combo thing you have to choose. Just seems it will take lots of testing and maybe even a FW re-do Which one do you use for a bride walking Which for dance floor reception Which for runway fashion with the model starting say 70 feet away walking to camera say 20 feet away for a arbitrary example. Just thinking this may be a...
I'm looking to downsize from my X20 for two reasons -size and lack of full analog control. The X70 seems to be the solution but when I visited my closest camera store (where did they all go anyway?) and took it outside I was having difficulty seeing the exposure indicator (I am in my 60s so eyes are not what they once were). It wasn't even a bright day - slightly overcast actually. So my question to users is this: any trick to increasing visibility of the exposure meter on screen? I thought...
