I had it for a short while las t year at some point where I was hesitating on a new camera. I ended up trading it for the Lumix GX1 that I traded for the X100... I know this is a strange process of choosing a camera. About the little Fuji, I would say that it was a very good compact camera but, at this point, I wanted more in terms of IQ... Now that I own a 6D wich is a IQ king in my opinion, I could very well have settled for the X10 (or X20) as a second camera. I choose the XZ-2 in the end ...View review in forums Leave a comment on this review
Its F2-2.8 lens gives it the speed and light needed, which really makes the camera much usable. Its 4x zoom lens is versatile enough for general street use and its compact size makes it more easier to carry around. Sometimes when you get too lazy to lug your big dslr, this is a great substitute. Furthermore it has a solid build. If fujifilm continues to keep updating firmware(most recent V2.0) then this camera is really worth the investment. Problems: There are times it cant start up.View review in forums Leave a comment on this review
+ Great build quality + Retro design + OVF - Slow power-up to 1st photo response (even in 'Quick Start' mode) - Slow RAW to SD card write - Shutter lag - 2nd photo lag - Low IQ light metering (pictures are to dark, often) - Strange feeling that the camera is cheating on ISO (it is still day time outside and I am forced to use ISO1600 and ISO 3200... Strange. Although, not verified with any other lightmeter nor camera). - No burst on LCD (in dark room it is dark on LCD, too) - Complicated ...View review in forums Leave a comment on this review
Yes it has great image quality and low light performance even at ISO 800 or 1600. No need to rehash what most reviews already say about that. I wish it were lighter even if that means using more plastic. It weighs between two and three times as much as a super compact point and shoot. I don't drop my cameras and I use a wrist strap. I simply don't need so much metal. I don't try to squeeze or twist my camera to test how solid it feels. I just want it strong enough, not overbuilt and weighing ...View review in forums Leave a comment on this review
