I've been doing a good bit of reading and researching here about Fuji's bridge cameras. It seems to me that they have made more of them than everyone else put together! I don't shoot for printing or to show to some art director or publication, just for me on my PC/tablets, so RAW isn't that important. I always carry a tripod and I do shoot a bit in low light so I am steering towards a BSI-CMOS sensor (does help with my Sony). Also, if I drop it over some rocks I won't be out that much money....
Hello all, I'm a complete noob, I bought the S8500 for only 2 reasons... well maybe 3 in terms of priority. I've an assortment of compact camera's but I've found I rarely use them while out and about now as its easier to snap quick shots with my phone. The one let down I've always had whether compact or phone is the zoom. Digital compacts have wifi, hand for image transfers, but the optical zoom was limited to about 20x, I wouldn't spend more than £130 for a camera I'll use rarely and keep in...
