I'm looking to buy a new camera. My budget is $300 max. (used ok). I will mostly use it for birding, travel, outdoor scenery and baseball games. I am mostly concerned about zoom and image quality. I will not be doing much, if any photo editing...just want to point and shoot. I have a small Kodak that I use indoors for family events, etc... I do have it narrowed down to a handful, but will take other suggestions if you have them. What would be the best one for my use? Thank you for the...
Hi all new to this forum. just started using the above camera and during"a hard" holiday of usage..the EVF has become..erratic? Some times brilliant but others completed blurred. As I look through and move up or down..it changes? Seems like it's a balance problem? Any my ideas out there?! thanks
I'm looking for some help/guidance/suggestions on how to get good-quality movies with my HS50exr. I'm not an experienced photographer, and my needs might be better met with a camcorder, rather than the HS50. I bought the HS50 because my main need is to record my son's audition videos for music school, as well as some of his gigs, so the ability to mount and use a higher-quality external microphone, such as a Rode, is more important to me than the quality of the images. But, the images need to...
Greets. First, apologies for posting in a photography forum - but I cannot seem to find ANY video related help/tutorials for the Fuji HS50 EXR anywhere (besides a few sample videos and reviews on youtube). Let me just state, I love this camera! :) For my photography club - I am the envy of the photographers. I can pull instant action and distance shots with my £270 "pocket money" camera that puts their £5,000+ pro kits to shame. Hand held in default EXR mode - through a streaky frosty...
--Old Timer Ref Fuji HS50 EXR Subject : Fixing Nikon DK20 rubber eyecup to Fuji EVF. I recently purchased the HS50 and find, like so many have found, the hard EVF is less than comfortable! I have read elsewhere that the DK20 can be fixed using 3M permanent double-sided tape, however, I wonder whether this might invalidate my (extended) warranty? Using this (permanent?) tape, can the auxiliary eyecup be removed for replacement or if returning to Fuji for warranty repair if needs be ? - is...

Hi. I like this camera, but I was disappointed to find that when recording FHD, video clips can not exceed 14 minutes in length, and 30 minutes in HD. Fujifilm of course didn't mention this in the specs or the documentation. So is there a way to have the camera self-click the "record" button again once the limit is reached, to start recording a new clip instantly? I occasionally record long lectures, and I can't keep waiting for the camera to reach 14 / 30 minutes , rise up, click record,...

I am new to photography and recently bought a FUJI HS50 EXR Bridge Camera. I have read the manual but its not answering all my questions, if anyone has the same camera can you help answer a couple of questions? The manual says that in manual shooting mode you can choose both shutter and aperture, if desired exposure can be altered from the value suggested by the camera. How do I do alter the exposure from the suggested value? Pressing the + button just jumps between aperture and shutter...
I've recently acquired a HS50EXR and everytime i shoot in the continuous shooting mode it saves the pictures in groups.. What i mean is that when i press the playback button to see all my pictures i want to see every picture individualy.. but the pictures taken in the continuous shooting mode are always organized in groups and i have to press the down arrow button to open this group and then i can see those pictures individualy... i want to know if there is a way to save the pictures...
Hi. I have an F770 EXR which I like and goes up to 500mm (ignoring digital zoom) and a DSLR with a 300mm lens (450mm equiv on APS-C) and I've tried this with a 2x tele-converter making it 900mm or so which still leaves me a bit short. Using the teleconverter I have to use manual focus as expected and it also degrades the image quality also as expected. I am mainly after sea birds out on the mud flats, there is absolutely no cover and no way to approach them with out being seen and they have...
