I had a Panasonic DMC-G3 + Pansonic 20mm lens. Unfortunately I have lost it. While it is a nice camera, I did not get on with the bulk of this camera, and would prefer to go back to a more compact size (past cameras I have owned include Fuji F70EXR and Panasonic Lumix). Obviously my G3 + 20mm lens had quite good light-gathering capabilities, being F/1.7 and Micro 4/3 format, and this would be my priority in a new compact camera. Could someone recommend something for me? I am in the UK, though...
I have just bought the SX270 which replaced a Fuji F70EXR. What is the difference between Fine and Superfine image quality on the Canon and what does it actually do. There was a similar setting with the Fuji but I found that the extra processing, in some conditions, seemed to make the final image very bland and lifeless.
