Introduction: (skip to next chapter if you like) I am in the search of something more than my Pentax S5n for the past year, so I firstly looked at the mirrorless APS-C cameras (NX and NEX) and then I realized that there is no substitute for a DSLR.After reading countless reviews of the Canons, Nikons and Pentaxes out there I came to the conclusion that the Canon 600D (T3i) is the best value for money camera out there, especially for a beginner in DSLR photography like myself. So, I was ready...

Hello again, I have been tied up and have not purchased a good used camara as yet. I post things on the net for sale once in awhile a need to replace my old Sony DSCS-30 that I have been using for many years. I have a small studio with ok lighting set up in the basement that I have been using and it does ok. I photo anything from items 3/4" long to some that are over 4' long. I am looking for very clear photos in a digital, automatic type camara. I do shoot quite a bit of macro photos...
Wow!! $1100 for this camera with lens, now that's more like it! Not bad at all. How many of you are currently using manual focus lenses COMFORTABLY ? If i jump the gun and buy this camera now, are there any issues and regrets that i will encounter? I want to be able to use my Rokinon 85 1.4, this lens has a tremendous shallow dept of field, but i wan't to be able to use it with the XE1 accurately. With my former nikon D7000 it was very inacurate and i usually had to use live view but...
Hi guys. I have a stupid question. Right now i am currently down sizing to 9MP from lightroom4 just because i don't really need big prints. But, i am starting to notice low IQ when seeing a print a little bigger than a 8x10. How are you S5 owners doing this process or to what jpeg size do you convert to get the best possible IQ out of the S5? Thank you very much.

Hi guys. The X20 is less than $600 dollars. Have any of you messed around with this camera? I just want it for low light situations, one example is my kid's school plays and stuff, or when in a restaurant with friends where there is usually not a lot of light, or just a simple friend's gathering at someone's house, heck, or even at a wedding! My main concern are the colors and high ISO performance, does this little camera output same colors as the more expensive cameras that i can't seem...
Hi lighting experts, it is a pleasure to be here for the very FIRST time. I recently bought and fell in love with my Fuji S5 PRO. I mainly shoot friends/kids/ portraits, and i am interested in buying some sort of light/flash system. I honestly don't know anything about lighting gear so i couldn't even name a the correct part because i don't know lighting terminology, but where i work i saw that someone was taking photos of some parts and there was some sort of external yellow looking device...
Hello fellows! Looking for the announcement of the new 55-200mm XF- lens, I went to Fujifilm's Swiss homepage and found out, that Fujifilm Switzerland sells Sigma lenses... http://www.fujifilm.ch/de/s/kameras-+-zubehoer/zubehoer/objektive http://www.fujifilm.ch/de/s/kameras-+-zubehoer/zubehoer/objektive Does anybody know what this is all about...? Fujifilm seems to be rather keen to cooperate with other companies and brands, as the history shows: They produce lenses for television-cameras and...
