Following the Sony Xperia Z and Huawei Ascend HD announcements, Chinese phone manufacturer ZTE has today launched another 5-inch, 1080p resolution smartphone at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. With its very impressive spec-sheet the new device is aiming squarely at the top-end of the smartphone sector -- an unusal move for ZTE who are better known for their more affordable devices.

The Grand S is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor with 1.7GHz quad-core CPU and runs  Android 'Jelly Bean'. It comes with 2GB Ram and 16GB built-in storage. It comes with 4G LTE and at 6.9mm is also the currently thinnest 5-inch phone on the market. Images can be captured with a 13MP rear camera that is capable of recording 1080p Full-HD video. The Grand S certainly looks like the nicest ZTE device to date and we're hoping to get hold of a sample unit to check out the camera's image quality and see how well the screen is suited for image editing.
