Oggl 2.0 introduces a customizable home screen grid of your favorite photo feeds.
Hipstamatic 's most popular digital lenses and film are included in Oggl.

Hipstamatic is out with a reworked version of its Oggl app.

When Hipstamatic debuted the app this May we dubbed it "an updated Hipstamatic for the age of Instagram." While the original Hipstamatic app captured the hearts of iPhoneographers with its lo-fi appeal — including digital lenses and films meant to recall analog favorites and the inability to preview your choices or change them post capture — Oggl feels more modern. The app keeps the look  of Hipstamatic but allows you to preview an effect before shooting and edit it afterward, while offering more social elements.

In Version 2.0 Oggl adds:

  • A customizable home screen grid featuring feeds such as your Instagram pics, hashtags you follow or Instagram photos you “like.”
  • Collections that allow you to gather and follow inspiring sets of images from the Oggl community. You can make your own and subscribe to others' Collections.
  • The new Discovery tab helps surface inspiring photos, people and Collections from the Oggl community.
  • Improved search functionality.
  • The Profile tab now organizes photos by Captured and Collected photos, and includes tap-to-zoom image viewing capability, expanded bios and live links.
  • Capture has been streamlined with easier access to favorite lens and film combos.

While the initial download is free, Oggl is available via two subscription options: Quarterly for $2.99 and yearly for $9.99. Each subscription comes with access to Hipstamatic’s entire catalog of current lens and film gear and guarantees new gear, released on the first Friday of every month.

Oggl 2.0 is currently for iPhone owners running iOS 6 and above, and an updated version for Windows Phone 8 will be released in the coming weeks.
