Nokia has added two phablets and a tablet to its Lumia line up. Nokia's latest announcement happened at its Nokia World conference in Abu Dhabi this morning. As expected, the Lumia 1520 measures at 6 inches and comes with a 20-megapixel PureView camera with optical image stabilization.
The Lumia 1520 will have to compete against phablets from every major manufacturer of Android smartphones — Samsung's 5.7-inch, 13MP Galaxy Note 3, Sony's 6.4-inch, 8MP Xperia Z Ultra and HTC's just-announced 5.9-inch, 4MP One Max.
With its extra large 1080p full HD screen, the Lumia 1520 will come with some new photography apps standard. Nokia Camera is a combination of Nokia's manual photography app Pro Camera and its feature-packed Smart Camera app. Nokia Storyteller is a new photo management tool on the Lumia 1520 that sorts and presents photos either by time captured or location.
Another new tool on the Lumia 1520 is Refocus. This lens mimics the effect of a light field camera in that it allows the user to choose a focal point post-capture. Not to be confused with the old app of the same name and function, Nokia's Refocus Lens is accessible in the native camera app and lets user pick new focal points after the photo is taken or set everything in focus. Refocus is more like like iOS's Focus Twist than a Lytro camera in that it uses software instead of hardware to achieve post-capture focusing. Check out some examples of Refocus here.
If Nokia's Pro Camera release is any indication, we should be seeing Nokia Camera, Nokia Storyteller and Refocus released to non-Lumia 1520 devices shortly after the new phablet's launch.

The Lumia 2520 is Nokia's first tablet. With a 6.7MP camera, the tablet is also the first to feature Zeiss optics and Nokia promises that it takes great pictures even in low light.
Like Microsoft's Surface devices, Nokia's Lumia 2520 will exclusively run Windows Phone 8. The screen is designed for maximum readability in both outdoor and indoor lighting situations and its Power Keyboard accessory offers an easy way to charge your tablet while providing the full functionality of a desktop keyboard.
As reviewers continue to criticize Microsoft's latest tablets, Nokia's Lumia 2520 has a chance to emerge as a viable alternative to the Surface. We can only speculate how Microsoft's impending acquisition of Nokia's mobile division will affect the future of Lumia tablets, but as they currently appear to be competing products, we can't help but wonder if this will be Nokia's only tablet as well as its first.
An affordable answer to the new Lumia 1520, the Lumia 1320 has a 6-inch, 720p display. With a 5-megapixel camera, it is definitely not as powerful of an imaging device as the Lumia 1520, but Nokia hopes the Lumia 1320 will satisfy the need for a large screen smartphone in emerging markets.
The Lumia 1520 will be available first in US, UK, European and Chinese markets, and the Lumia 2520 will launch in the UK, U.S. and Finland. Meanwhile, the Lumia 1320 will initially be for sale only in China and Vietnam. Before taxes and subsidies, the Lumia 1520 will cost $749, with the Lumia 1320 coming it at a much lower $339. Nokia's tablet will run you $499 — $50 more than Microsoft's Surface 2.
