Vimeo updates Cameo video editing app for iPhone
Vimeo has updated its video editing app Cameo. The video sharing platform purchased the app from its makers last year and the new version 2.0 features a simplified user interface for easier operation. Videos can be directly imported from the iPhone's camera roll and cutting and merging of clips is easily done via the touch interface. A good range of free music clips to accompany your visuals is available as well.
Other changes include the ability to edit 1080p full HD video and create clips of any duration. The previous version of Cameo was limited to 2 minutes only. All rendering of the final result happens on the device which should ensure swift operation and means a data connection is not required.
As you would expect from an app that is owned by Vimeo, posting your final clip to the video platform is very easy but you can of course also share via email or other social networks. Cameo 2.0 runs on any iPhone, iPad or iPad touch but is optimized for iPhone 5, iPhone 6, and iPhone 6 Plus. You'll also need to run iOS 8.0 or a later version of the Apple mobile OS. Cameo 2.0 is available on the App Store now.
