To start, Amos hacked a hard shell smartphone case to securely hold the SLR's eyepiece.

Forget tiny smartphone lenses and expensive SLR adapters, photographer Michael Amos has figured out a way to mount his smartphone to an SLR's viewfinder to take photos through the camera.

Amos modified a hard shell case for his HTC Android smartphone to securely mount it to the eyepiece of his Canon SLR camera. By carefully positioning the smartphone's camera inside the viewfinder, Amos can give his mobile photos a unique SLR look without any apps.
