Will.i.am wants to turn your iPhone into a 'genius phone'
Black Eyed Peas member Will.i.am is releasing an accessory in London next week to make your iPhone photos 14-megapixel files. The device—the first in his new i.am+ line of digital products—is essentially a second sensor and flash that attaches to your phone and “takes over” the phone’s original camera. The full details and price are expected to be revealed next week during the product launch.
The Telegraph spoke with Will.i.am about how he came up with his idea:
The multi-Grammy-award-winning singer and musician described how he came up with the idea for the camera attachment at a photo shoot in London in 2008.
"I was just hanging out afterwards, and one of the models took an iPhone picture, which circulated the planet before the shoot was even over," he says. "I took one of the photographer’s lenses and held it up on my [phone] and said 'imagine this one day.' Then I said: 'I’m going to do this.'"
