Aviary gets update with cloud sync and free effect filters
Aviary has launched the first major update to its mobile image editing app since the company was acquired by Adobe back in September. The new software, available for both iOS and Android devices, is a first step to combining Aviary's editing power with Adobe's cloud experience. The new version adds more effects, stickers, frames and overlays which can all be downloaded free of charge during November if you sign in to the app with an Adobe ID. From December those extras will be available via in-app purchase and cost you $200 in total, so it's a good idea to grab them now. Other new features include the following:
- Syncing of your effects, frames, stickers and other editing purchased editing tools with Adobe Creative Cloud, allowing you to use them on all devices with Aviary installed
- Overlays allow you to place stencils on your photos
- Dark or light vignetting with support for custom size, shape, and intensity
- New photo adjustment tools including Highlights, Shadows, Tint, and Fade
- The Draw Brush tool has been re-built to make the drawing action feel more natural
If you have Aviary installed already just hit the update button for the new features or head to the Apple App Store or Google Play if you don't have it yet but would like to try.
