There are plenty of cloud photo services for those who want to back up and organize the photos from their iPhone camera roll. However, if you prefer something that you can physically hold in your hand, the newly launched Recently app for iOS might just be what you've been looking for.

Recently automatically selects the best 100 images on your camera roll from last month and turns them into a printed magazine that delivered to your home. Before the magazine goes to print, image selection is confirmed but alternatively you can manually select your favorite shots for inclusion and design the layout. The magazine is then printed on archival quality Mohawk paper that is acid-free, adheres to Forest Stewardship Council guidelines and uses non-polluting wind-generated electricity for manufacturing.

Recently is meant to complement other imaging apps you might currently be using that save images to your camera roll. Users receive reminders when a magazine issue is about to go to print, and they are required to upload their images. The app is free to download and install but you pay $8.99 per month for the magazine subscription, or $7.99 when you invite a friend. More information is available on the Recently website.
