The Nexus 5 made a brief appearance in the Google Play store. CNET grabbed this screen shot before Google removed the device.

Another day, another suspicious "leak" from Google. In what appears to be a well-timed "accident," Google listed the still un-released Nexus 5 in the Google Play store yesterday. The listing was taken down shortly after, but not before tech bloggers could grab a precious screenshot.

The cheapest version of Google's new flagship smartphone is advertised at $349, though we are not sure how much storage comes with that price tag. (Best guess is 16GB.) The screenshot also gives photographers a little tease. The listing says "capture the everyday and the epic in fresh new ways."

In what fresh new ways? Well, we are going to have to wait and find out. Google hasn't so much as announced a press event for the new device, but rumors suggest that the Nexus 5 will be available in the final days of October. (In time for a little KitKat trick-or-treating?)
