The 500px image sharing platform and community has updated its app for iOS devices, turning 500px into a fully-fledged camera and editing app. The developers have made use of the enhanced camera support in iOS 8 and implemented a camera user interface that features exposure compensation and manual focus alongside the usual full auto mode.

On the editing side of things 500px uses the Adobe Creative Cloud image editor which allows you to adjust exposure, contrast, highlights, shadows, clarity, vibrance, temperature, tint, sharpening and noise reduction. It also offers 22 presets for quick image enhancement.

In addition to the usual bug fixes and performance improvements the app now also offers full iPhone 6 and 6 Plus compatibility, 1Password support and a function to directly upload Adobe Lightroom Mobile images to the 500px platform. It appears the Android version of the app has not been updated with the new features at this point in time but if you own an iOS device you can download the latest version of 500px in the Apple App Store
