Krome human-powered retouching now available on Android
There are thousands of photo editing apps in the Android and Apple app stores, and some of them do a better job than others. However, if you want to do more to an image than apply a filter, straighten, or crop it, automated algorithms often struggle to achieve high-quality results. More difficult tasks, such as changing the background in an image or removing an unwanted object can (still) be be dealt with better by a human retoucher who knows their way around Photoshop.
This is where Krome Retouch comes in. Krome is essentially a retouching services that lets you use an app to place your order and describe how you would like your image to be modified. Retouching options include color changes, skin smoothing, object removal and background swapping. You select an image from your device's Gallery, Google Photos or Google Drive and specifiy the desired changes in the app. Your image will then be worked on by one of Krome's 30 professional retouchers and you will receive the end result within a few hours. If you are not completely satisfied a re-edit is included in the fee. The app also offers free online-backup of your retouched images and several sharing options.

Krome Retouch has been available on iOS for a while but along with the updated iOS version 2.0 an Android app has now been launched, making the service accessible to a much larger user base. The app is free to download and install, retouching is $8.99 per image which can be paid via credit card or Paypal. The first image is free of charge with a watermark. If you want to give Krome Retouch a go the app can be downloaded from Google Play or the Apple App Store. Would you consider using the service or do you prefer to retouch your images yourself?
