App update roundup: Fhotoroom, Hipstamatic, Perfectly Clear
App updates abound this week across three platforms: Fhotoroom for Windows Phone 8, Hipstamatic for iPhone and Perfectly Clear for Android.
Windows Phone 8’s Fhotoroom has updated its editing features in the latest version of the app. One of our “must have” apps for a Windows Phone 8 device, Fhotoroom has improved the navigation of the editing app. Now, users can swipe left and right to browse filters, drag up and down to control the sliders and double tap to see the before and after view of their edits. Fans of artificial blurs will be excited about Fhotoroom’s improved tilt shift feature. You can find Fhotoroom in the Windows Store for free.
Hipstamatic is enticing users to update by offering a new lens and film. Version 262of the popular iOS imaging app comes with a Silver Lake HipstaPak—a lens/film combo inspired by the fashionable folks living in the trendy Los Angeles neighborhood. Hipstamatic says the new Mabel lens adds beautiful light and warmth while the Dixie film adds a light and feathery boarder to every image. The update also includes improved sample images and bug fixes.
Athentech Imaging has updated the Android version of its Perfectly Clear app, claiming it's now twice as fast in version 1.5. The image-editing app has also added the ability to edit ginormous photos—up to 40MP—and has gone through a complete user interface redesign. The update will also allow you to use the app offline, to copy the app to your SD card as well.
