Instagram's Earlybird filter seemed most appropriate for Twitter's logo. However, The New York Times reports any new Twitter photo filters won't have bird names.

The New York Times is reporting that unnamed Twitter employees have shared the social networking service's plans to add photo filters to its mobile applications.

This would allow Twitter users to achieve the look of Instagram, oft-labeled "Twitter for photos," without using the popular photo-sharing app.

A Twitter employee also told The New York Times that video upload and editing tools are being considered, further directing users to stay within Twitter's mobile apps rather than using YouTube or other video services.

Would the addition of photo filters motivate you to tweet your photos rather than share them via Instagram?
