Facebook's latest iOS app update includes 14 Instagram-esque photo filter options, though the version 5.1 update notes never mentioned the change, as TechCruch pointed out. Simply tap the magic wand tool when uploading your image to see familiar filters that boost contrast, modify tone or create a black and white version.
The news comes just days after Twitter employees told The New York Times photo filters are pending for its mobile applications.
The Facebook update also allows for multi-photo upload, letting you pick and choose from photos on your device by checking or unchecking which to share.
As Facebook and Twitter get smarter, will Instagram remain the social photo-sharing app of choice? Of course, it's making moves to improve as well, with web profiles announced yesterday.
