Flickr's latest iOS app update is now available in the App Store.

Flickr is jumping into the photo filter game with its latest update to its iOS app now available in the App Store.

Sixteen new "high res" camera filters have been added, offering that Instagram look without leaving the Flickr app, with additional Aviary-powered editing tools to perfect your image. The app also includes a new Explore tab to see both images Flickr deems interesting, and those geotagged to nearby locations, a feature EyeEm users are familiar with. A new Contacts view also makes it easier to view images from photographers you follow. We were also excited to see that the new app allows you to zoom into images.

In addition to the app update, Flickr also offers a new desktop navigation today, as well as an improved Explore page. If you don't see the changes on your computer immediately, keep checking as the changes are expected to roll out to all users over the next several days. Such moves could be perceived as Yahoo's first significant answers to the Internet's cries to "make Flickr awesome again," as well as an attempt to keep pace with the photo filter frenzy escalating between Twitter and Instagram.
