Sony's just announced the a6600, a flagship 24MP APS-C camera with in-body image stabilization, Real-time Tracking autofocus - including eye-detection in video - and a larger Z-type battery.

Sony has introduced the a6100, a low-priced APS-C E-mount camera that will slot in-between the a6000 and a6400. It's essentially an a6400 with a lower resolution EVF, smaller ISO range and no Picture Profiles. Otherwise, expect a 24MP sensor, Real Time Tracking AF, a tilting LCD and 4K/30p video capture.

Sony has unveiled two new APS-C lenses at an event in New York today: the E 16-55mm F2.8 G and E 70-350mm F4.5-6.3 G OSS. The 16-55mm F2.8 is slated to arrive in October for $1400; the 70-350mm ships in November for $1000.

The EOS M6 Mark II renews Canon's commitment to making small, enthusiast-friendly APS-C mirrorless cameras. With 4K video, 30 fps Raw bursts and additional controls, it's a big step forward from its predecessor. And perhaps more interesting than the EOS 90D.

The 90D is essentially the DSLR version of the EOS M6 Mark II mirrorless camera that was introduced alongside it. Like the M6 II, it features a 32MP sensor, Dual Pixel AF, fast burst shooting and 4K/30p video capture. It will be available mid-September.
