Athentech has released the latest version of its auto-enhancement photo editor Perfectly Clear App for Android, bringing it up to version 4. With the latest update users are given several new features for further improving their photographs, as well as new detection algorithms for the Next Generation Beautify feature specifically.

Those who upgrade will have access to five more photo enhancement features comprised of: Face Slimming, Blemish Removal, Shine Removal, Circle Removal, and Catchlight.  Of course the original features from earlier version Skin Smoothing, Eye Enhance, Eye Enlarge, Teeth Whitening and Automatic red-eye removal  are still available as well. As before a before/after slider can be freely moved across the image, showing both the original and altered versions side-by-side.

With the update an integrated photo gallery has also been added, eliminating the need to toggle between Perfectly Clear and a second gallery app to browse images and make minor adjustments like cropping. The user interface has also been modified, with the maker promising it is now easier to use than previous versions, and processing speeds have been doubled.

Android 5.0 Lollipop users have also been given some specific updates, including the new ability to snap full-resolution burst images and panoramas, additional white balance settings, and HDR for snaps of objects that are moving quickly. Perfectly Clear 4.0 for Android can now be downloaded form the Google Play Store for $2.99 USD. According to the developers, the updated version for Apple's iOS devices will be made available within the next couple of weeks.
