CameraLends Peer-to-Peer equipment sharing service launches iPhone app
CameraLends.com, a peer-to-peer camera gear sharing service that was established in 2013, has just launched a mobile app. The service allows for private rental of cameras, lenses and accessories of all types. You can rent equipment around the clock, no deposit is required and the company says that costs are 30-60% less compared to local rental shops.
For those away from a computer, CameraLends' app for the iPhone offers all key functions of the web interface. You can browse, search for gear, lend and borrow items all on your mobile device.
Gear is available to rent through CameraLends in more than 600 cities and the company says that the average lender makes approximately $250 per month with the service. Currently the most active areas are Los Angeles, New York City, San Francisco and Seattle. You can find out more about the service on the CameraLends website and download the iPhone app from the Apple App Store.
