On photo biz marquee in the Collages challenge (5 comments in total)
In reply to:

Tim Reidy Productions: This got a lot of low votes for a premade collage, the sign above the marquee looks great, so I wonder about the voters here.

Yes I know Tim, But you did too good a job. It does look like one photo, but have a look at the sample images provided, I think they were looking more foe images like that. separate photos that tell a story...

I did not vote in this challenge Tim, but I'm thinking that even though you have added images to your collage, it looks a little too natural and like a single photo rather than a collage of all individual photos on the one sheet of paper. A bit like a proof sheet... if that makes sense.

I bought my first Nokkormat FT2 in 1974, and still have it, and it still works. Travelled all over Europe with it and shot 100s of weddings with it. It truely was a reliable workhorse. I retired the FT2 (I gave 3 of them) in the early 90s when I finally upgraded to Auto focus and an F90X... another great workhorse...

cjf2: One of my favorites. I'd have placed it higher.

Thanks for the comment cjf2, glad you like it. Voting is a very subjective process, but in general the top pics end up in the top placements. I'm always happy with a top 10 finish...LOL

Velocity of Sound: Really impressive image, and a really unique association - I don't think I've ever seen a lighthouse in the same frame as a snow-covered mountain before.

Thank you Velocity of Sound. Really glad you like it. It took several visits to this location to be able to capture the light just right, and snow on the mountain, without it being totally shrouded in cloud...
