'In my hands again' should have some old geezer in the commercial holding it (maybe someone from this forum), as the guy in the ad was like 3 when that style camera was popular.
inevitable crafts studio: who cares, its a sony ^^ i rather buy a camera of some other tv companies like panasonic or samsung then a walkman camera ..
At least they won't be out of business in 5 years. Enjoy your bankruptcy Nikon.
Brooks11: Thinking about purchasing this camera. I would like some feedback on how this camera works with the 7-14mm Lumix lens. Specifically fringing.
Enjoy your purple flare!
Why don't they ever test AF with moving objects. It's not even discussed? If I don't shoot still life scenes, what am I getting with AF, or AF tracking?
babalu: Pablo Picasso did this 64 years ago :

If someone invented a time machine and dpr wrote about it, someone would complain in the comment section.
sdribetahi: The same anti-hdr people never seem to complain about too much added grain to the want-to-be 1960's b&w pretend Leica post work for street shooting. Funny, my eye's don't see grain when it gets dark either.
Carabas,
It's called art. Ever heard of that? It's an opinion that it's ruined? Do ALL pictures need to be done the exact same way. "well if he just did the way every picture should be done, blah, blah, blah." You can be a critic all you want, but don't stifle the creativity. It's like telling an artist he should have represented the scene a different way. He's probably tell you where you can shove your opinion and see if any light hits it.

Old people and bird shooters don't want video on their camera because they think it drives up the cost with a feature they don't use. So now you get a $3000 camera and no video. This is why we can't have nice things. Thanks for nothing.
Not mentioned, but this comes with a name, history and photo of the lamb used to make your pouch.
JohnEwing: It's OK. But who the hell would want it?
Well if you don't, I guess nobody will. Someone better call Ricoh and tell them quickly.
harold1968: This must be a fashion
Am I the only one that doesn't want wood within a mile of my camera ?
I'd be concentrating more on the helmet section if I were you.
rusticus: why the fuss, or hype - I use my awesome at GM1 20er pancake ;) I do not need this Pana-Leica really
I love the 'well I don't need it, so why did they make it' comments.
alan900: What do I think? I think you should be finding out the facts and reporting them.
Lighten up Frances, DPR isn't the Associated press.
sdribetahi: Wow, you can hardly see the poor people.
North Korea said, "shoot anything you want, as long as it's not the common people. That's our job".
Wow, you can hardly see the poor people.
Why is every photo app just a series of crappy scene filters to make your picture look like it's from various terrible cameras from 1970?
jaygeephoto: This is Pentax's chance to go after the fat cats pushing their wears at every consumer point. I know that marketing is expensive and breaking into markets is arduous. As good as this camera is it won't make a dent in the market unless it's sold well.
You do realize a company can make money without being the biggest, right? Oops, you don't. Their goal is to sell enough to make money, even if you can't see the dent.
rb59020: Here we go again, another Zeiss bashing session. Most of the readers here would have no problem blowing $800-$1000 on an unlocked iPhone5s that will be obsolete in six months.
What did you people do before the F3AF came out in '83? OMG! It's not autofocus! How am I supposed to take a photo without autofocus!?!
Whaaaaa!
Well, I was a child, so not much. Why is everyone else in here a senior citizen?
