I haven’t missed it for a moment on my R6 or RP. It’s on the back and the EVF. With DSLRs. I didn’t use the back screen so it was nice having LCD. I don’t think the same function is needed anymore.

My 24-70 2.8 G2 has worked fine with my RP. However, with the R6 in particular it has this losing autofocus issue.

My Tamron 24-70 G2 will lose autofocus occasionally. Usually turning power off and on will resolve it. Otherwise disconnecting briefly will. I emailed Tamron and they said they will announce when ...

The RF 50mm 1.8 is a fun little lens to have. I plan on using it often on my RP as a small, light setup when I don’t want my expensive R6 kit with me. Can’t wait!

I just switched lenses and got the RF 35mm 1.8, RF 50mm 1.8 and RF 85mm F2. The 35 and 85 are excellent and under $600. I'm very happy with both lenses. The RF 50 is a nifty fifty equivalent ...

I have the RF 85mm F2 IS STM Macro lens now. I was lucky and hit Adorama when they had a few in stock. It’s a great lens. It looks nice and sharp at F2. I can see the improvement from the EF 85mm ...

It’s a preference thing and what your shooting makes a difference. 35mm has a different look than 50mm. For weddings and clients I like having the 35/85mm split option. For casual shooting, travel ...

I got that lens a few weeks ago. It’s a great lens so far. I really liked the results at F2 for portraits. I like the 1/2 macro too. Not everyone has to have F1.2 to enjoy their photos.

I have an R6 after starting with an RP. Now that I have the R6 I use the joystick to move focus points even though it’s probably slower. The touch n drag us probably faster for sure. I just can’t ...

I got it used so the cost wasn’t too bad. It feels great in my hands with the extension grip. When I’m using longer, heavier lenses it really makes a big difference. If I’m using smaller lenses ...

Thanks. I agree, it's a little slow in macro mode. However for my wedding, it was nice to run and gun with that lens for a few minutes and get great ring shots instead of fooling with extension ...

I thought his review was good as well. I mainly got the RF 50mm 1.8 because I don't always want to take my moneymakers (R6 and my nicer lenses) with me for personal shooting and such. Sometimes, ...

That's 2020 for you. Check local and smaller dealers. I got an R6 just sitting on the shelf at my local camera store about a month ago. I have a Canon RF 50mm 1.8 delivering today that came ...

Here are a few portraits I did this weekend on a mini shoot. They were at F/2 and ISO 100. I bumped up about 2/3 a stop exposure and edited with Mastin Labs Portra 400. I was really impressed ...

The image quality looks very good. I got the canon rf 85mm F2 macro in yesterday. I went with the Canon for reliability since I shoot weddings. When Samyang gets the firmware/autofocus ...

I just realized this is an older post but I'll comment anyway. I think they're great. I'd be curious to see with the greens muted more. #2 is what made me think of this. I just wonder if the ...

After shooting two weddings this weekend, I have come across this “bug”. Occasionally I will lose autofocus on my R6 with the Tamron 24-70 G2 and the fastest way to fix is to remove lens and ...

I have an RP and an R6. The RP is a great little camera for the money. I like it for everyday, casual use. It's got a small size, and it takes nice pictures. It has some weaknesses too, but ...

Start somewhere and go from there. The RP doesn’t have as good of autofocus as the R6 but it’s not bad. Some reviews could be before Canon made a huge improvement firmware update to the R and ...
