  • Focus instability is a bummer for time lapse shooters, I guess a reason to shoot with an adapted lens but native would be better. The GFX100 can keep up with 1 second interval using lossless raw.  ...
  • Thank you, looking forward to more!
  • Replied in Good question
I have a 30mm sitting here unopened.  It would be used for landscape with a GFX100 and I don't currently have a 32-64. Size, weight, and price don't matter.  Sharpness at 100mp, flare, field ...

GFX100 + SmartPhone Quality and portability.  Sorry I can't think of many scenarios when I would be willing to have an SLR sized camera with me but not the GFX.
  • Replied in Flare
Thank you!  Do you intend to test flare as well? So far the zoom is winning me over.
  • Nice, I have one of these lenses as well.  If I could figure out a way to trim the hood, I think it will be usable full frame rather than 35mm.
  • Replied in 32-64?
I have the GFX100 if that matters (which it shouldn't)
  • Replied in 32-64?
Would love to see how it compares to the zoom if you have time.  I have the 30mm coming tomorrow but still interested in the Zoom if it can compete.
  • Compared to the 45mm 2.8, they are actually pretty close and I could live with the 45-100 on the short end.  Compared to the 110mm on the long end, they are in a different ballpark it seems. So do ...
  • Replied in Sigma
Sigma 40mm 1.4 works great wide open for astro if you can crop the aspect ratio to remove some of the top and bottom.  Maybe not wide enough for you though? Sigma 14mm 1.8 is looking very promising ...
  • Replied in Code?
    Is there a coupon code?
  • I'd love to hear how this lens performs!  I've tried the 100-400 II and the vignetting is pretty bad.
  • Replied in Sigma 40mm 1.4
The Sigma 40mm 1.4 is fantastic.  You will get some dark corners but not bad if you crop vertically some.  For astro it is very good on the GFX 100.
  • I hate the Q button on the GFX 100.  I'm always bumping it accidentally.  This may almost be a blessing for you.
  • I have both of these lenses as they each have their strengths.  Although I haven't compared them directly, I would suspect that the 110mm bokeh at F4 will be much less cat-eye than the 120mm.
