Philippe R: I had a used D60 for a few months until the 10D was released. I flew all the way to New York (from Nice France) in June 2003 to get one. When I arrived in NYC I searched every camera shop to find one with no luck, until I ended up at B&H on Sunday morning (the day of my flight back) and very luckily they had just received a batch on Friday so i did come home with two 10Ds (one for a good friend).
It gave me many great photos (until I went the 1DII path in may 2004).
I can tell you that this 10D gave me hours of great memories and a few shots that were sold ;-) and I was not a pro at the time.
Great camera, really !!! Very happy and lucky to have owned one.

Exactely ! At the time, shops in Nice only knew the retail price but no availability date, whereas in B&H they had it in stock... and the price difference was very much in my favor due to currency change at the time too..... :D

Philippe R: Most people already have a camera brand, most likely Canon or Nikon, so why suggest so many Sony ? do they contribute more than the others to your site ?

I am not pushing either Canon nor Nikon, but just saying that seeing more than two Sony (5 in that roundup, that seems a bit bias) is unusual... no more

RichRMA: Leatherman tool or Swiss (Victorinox) army knife.

Just remember that if you travel by plane, put those items in your hold luggage so you won't have it taken from you by security checks... IMO

Glad someone has taken the time to write on this subject in details... So many photos are exchanged between people that are way too big to be correctly displayed. As such, the photography cannot be appreciated to its correct value.
If you wish to share your images, you need to take into account the vision that your reader will have, other than that, the time and care you've taken to take that once in a lifetime shot will be lost...

There's a psychological aspect to all act in our life, photography is no derogation to that aspect...
I'd be interested to know how different populations, both geographical and ethnical, would react to certain type of photography.
To be followed...

Perfect ! 5 seconds are necessary to a good observation of the scene to be captured. Varying view angles is the key to constructive photography.
Good advice !!! ;-)
