Have you tried different settings in "Priority Set in AWB": standard vs Ambience vs White, which will help choosing your preferred AWB in difficult light situations.
Sony added this feature to their new generation cameras, such as A6500, A99II and of course A9.

I feel that A6300 should be put into the mix for comparison, not A6000.

citrate: Surprised to see "mirrorless cameras are helping drive the company's camera sales." !
So Canon will push more on developing mirrorless cameras?
How about Nikon then?

@Dr_Jon
Last time I checked, Sony has more than 80% market share in mirrorless camera market in North America.
China and North America are the top two camera markets in the world. Sony even sell more cameras in China than in the United States.
The #2 is is you mentioned is referring to in Japan, and in a year when the Kumamoto earthquake did a huge damage to Sony's sensor and camera manufacturing.

On article Nikon D7500: Should I upgrade from my D7200? (298 comments in total)

Nikon should have used Sony's 24MP sensor on A6300/6500 and XT2, which is a high performer with 4K capability.

From the provided numbers, you can back-calculate Sony's full frame market share in US increase from 28%-33%.
I guess the claimed No 2 spot has more to do with the drop of Nikon camera sales.

Surprised to see that Hasselblad is falling short on delivering customer-friendly JPEGs, although I am not exactly sure that what means.

Contra Mundum: Why is Fuji so hung on film simulations? Those films in the past were really restricted to kind of colors and tonalities they could reproduce. A digital image has so much more flexibility that restricting the processing to flawed films of yesteryear is really bizarre.

Agree. I do think Fuji's film simulation is overrated. Maybe it is good and useful for beginners, but not much for the professionals.

pahnson: Just imagine what could have been achieved if Canon would have wanted to build a good video mode in the 5d iv.... imagine a 5d iv with 4k, full sensor readout RAW video... Combined with the already impressive video-autofocus and the overall great photo-features, the great build quality and the good color reproduction... it would have been the most epic camera on the market for under 4000$.

And the Magic lantern Team made it once again obvious that it COULD be done, if Canon realy wanted to. They managed to do this with a very limited access to the software and a bottlenecked, outdated hardware... Imagine what these guys could do if they had full access and the possibility to change the hardware...

For a professional workflow the Magic Lantern Hack and the RAW Workflow is just to unreliable and to cumbersome. But still great work.

I don't think the card writing speed will support full sensor 4K raw in 5D4.
And the processing will also cause too much heat.

So, people who want to buy a Fuji GFX or Hasselblad X1D should really save their money now and wait the the new sensors?

To me, X1D shows more detail than GFX50. The image from X1D looks clearly sharper.

Where is the reported 1000fps super slow-mo video recording mode?
Is IMX333 the same sensor in Sony Xperia XZ Premium?

I thought T-stop number should be used rather than F-stop number, when we are talking about light transmission in low light.
For example, the Canon 85mm f/1.2L you talked about is a T 1.6 lens.

It is odd that the autofocus point was set to the chest, not the face, in the bike test.
The black and white t-shirt gives a high contrast difference for the contrast-only autofocus system to detect.

The sale caparison to smart phones is not fair for cameras.
For most people who buy smart phones, the photo function is just a plus.
