Both not from oversampling the whole sensor, 4K detail is much better here than the Canon’s m6ii.

To me, Hasselblad x1d should be mentioned as the first medium format mirrorless camera, rather than Fuji’s GFX 50S.

Is Canon M6ii indeed capable of liveview for continuous shooting?
The other question is we know M6ii uses pixel skipping for 4K video, how about z50?

Alexsfo: Massive 2.3x crop (1.5x1.5) in 4k! Just when Canon figured out how to manufacture the highest resolution APS-C sensor on the market with uncropped 4k, Nikon goes in the opposite direction releasing a camera with the lowest resolution APS-C sensor currently on the market and massively cropped video. While supplying built-in EVF, Nikon handicaps itself with useless non-tiltable flash, flip down screen (this is so M5 from 2-3 years ago), and we haven’t even touched the lens selection...

@Alexsfo low light video will be not as good as those with full sensor readout, but definitely better than pixel binned ones.

It does have 4K crop, but defensively will deliver more detail in 4K than Canon m6ii

I don’t know why Canon didn’t implement liveview for continuous shooting

Why EF mount?
They should do a short flange distance mount to take advantage of both dslr and mirrorless lenses.

Are these published by Sony? I could not find the source. Don’t tell me it is just from a rumor site.

citrate: These are not newly designed lenses. Canon has the same set of cine lenses in ef mount, which have been on the market for a while. And I think many of these lenses were designed based on the ef autofocus counterparts.

@Ebrahim Saadawi
20mm was announced last year.

MayaTlab0: I believe that this video is the first one that shows us how the R behaves at 3fps in terms of liveview feed, so thanks for that. It's mentioned (and quite apparent anyway) that at 5fps, it shows a slideshow of the previous shot taken. However, there seems to be a setting, p. 149 in the manual, that may provide some degree of liveview af 5fps, albeit with what seems like a lot of caveats. Will DPreview evaluate that setting in the final review ?
Something else that I'd like to know : most current mirrorless cameras have an "auto" setting for the EVF backlighting (LCD) / white point (OLED) brightness. There is no mention of such setting in the R's manual. Is it because the manual is incomplete, or because that option doesn't exist ?

Are we sure it is a liveview feed at 3fps?

During continuous shooting, does the camera offer a live feed of the image being taken, or is it a slide show of the previous frame?

citrate: Does Z7 offer autofocus in 1080p 120fps?

@David Bo
because some cameras cannot autofocus at 120fps.
