Osa25: "...must be followed within 96 hours by foreign airlines flying to the United States from the affected airports – but not US-carriers........banned electronic items can still be transported in checked baggage. ...Homeland Security says the ban is not based on a threat of an imminent attack....."

So basically this is a cheap trick form of protectionism to favour US based airlines.

With silly, random unpredictable, stunts like this, well the current govt is going to turn this country into the laughing stock of the world...

Maybe, but Birts are on board with this one. UK also is implementing same thing.

Ouch, just little too high compared to all other Sigma glass, may have to look at Batis 135 that is supposed to come for Sony E-Mount.

Vinter: Cool looking forward to trying the 70-200 vs my series 1 Sony 70-200 on the A99ii

Hope that is true as with A7Rii IBIS if we get native 70-200 F2.8 without VR it will still be useful. And hopefully will weight less and cost less. Looking forward to adding this or Sony native version to my line-up. I'm very happy with 24-70 from Tamron.

we have adapters for all Sony fans. It would be great to have native FE mount but we will survive :)

noflashplease: I really don't see a point to this crop circle lens, when the 85mm F/1.4 ART is on the way. Sorry, but the days of APS-C are coming to a close.

I'd not say days of APS-C are over considering amazing popularity of Sony A6xx series of camera. They have their own place in every photographers bag.

Only thing holding off from jumping onto Sony from Canon is lens selection, Can anyone tell me if Sigma ART series is available ffor Sony E-mount (not the one which Sigma sells for A6000 - as those are not as sharp as 50F1.4 ART or 35F1.4 ART)

mjoshi: I'm using one, moved from iPhone to Lumia 1520 first because of camera quality, but lack of apps as well as limited feature set of existing apps made it a pretty much dud. Was thinking of going back to iPhone 6plus and came across LGG4. This thing is amazing when it comes to sheer camera power. Lot of manual control and dynamic range. Been using it for 4 weeks now and love mine.

Well most of native apps are lacking in functionality. Take FB, Waze, Instagram etc. If you compare feature to feature between different platforms, FB on Android and iOS have lot more features compared to FB on WindowsMobile.

te 2r: For cameras that shoot raw/DNG, I would love to see a conventional DPReview-esque examination involving exposure lattitude & ISO invariance tests. Because smartphone cameras have so little dynamic range, just how much DR can be squeezed out via "push processing" is something I'd like to know. (It'd also enable the comparison of smartphone cameras on a better basis, stripped of their JPEG processing black boxes.)

I'd also like to see a note regarding whether the camera fully supports "Camera API 2", which is part of Android 5. The new API allows 3rd party apps like Camera FV-5 to access full manual controls & raw/DNG. Unfortunately a lot of current smartphones go with their own proprietary solutions over API 2. Anyway, thanks for the review.

Lars I use mine on default manual camera app and so for mine have not crashed once in 4 weeks of use. Also my version is H815 (which is international unlocked version).

mjoshi: It says E-Mount so will this work with Sony A6000 or this is only meant for Sony A7 series ?

Only reason, there is very few native APS-C lenses that are really I want for my A6K. I already use Canon 6D for FF and A6K serves as backup. I've SEL 50F1.8 and I'm happy with that but need something on wide end and 28F2 is very appealing compared to Sigma 30F2.8 (which I've but not big fan of that lens).

JDThomas: Instead of these over-priced "photography" bags I usually buy tactical military bags designed for weapons. They are highly padded, ultra-durable, and about 1/3 of the price that these photo bag companies charge.

I could buy these in bulk sell them at twice the price and still come in way under what these companies charge for a product of lesser quality.

Looks good, do you need to be service member to order from link you posted or it is available to everyone ? Also is that the only color that it comes in ?

mjoshi: Does this thing have a capability to display focus point in RAW file same as Digital Photo Professional does for RAW files created from Canon camera ? It is important and comes handy when editing to see what was point of focus.

I know there are other softwares that will display it just like Digital Photo Professional does, I'd love to see focus points inside LR4 while editing in my pictures.

Am I the only one or others are also feeling same, between HX200V and HX100v only difference I see is increase of MP from 16 to 18, apart from that everything else is exactly same. Atleast they should have gone 24mm wide from 27mm.

welcome to high noise images with that 36MP - companies need to realize bigger is not always better.
