Mike FL: Tilt LCD is very useful for high, low angle, and selfie. I do not know why Panasonic DMC-ZS100/TZ100 has NO Tilt LCD.

Poor usability. Oh this thing has no NFC too.

I would definitely NOT consider buying it if it came with the extra size that is required to package a tilt LCD.

As it is, I shall be buying one.

40x with a small sensor.

I thought 20x on my TZ35 was quite far enough for this class of camera (even as a tourist class amateur).

What are the chances of a 40x zoom photo being good enough to frame and hang on the wall ?

Another unimaginative stretch in lens range and more MP.

I's like to see someone carve out a new niche and do maybe a quality compact 10x zoom, with a large 12 MP sensor, preferably in a body not much bigger than a TZ.

Just another compact superzoom?

I agree it would be nice to see a high quality large sensor compact, with just a bit more zoom range than the Canon S100.

If this Casio fires up, focusses and shoots quickly, it might just have one significant advantage.

Lee W: Wow, looks very poor in both Jpeg & Raw. Especially in the corners.

I also find the Olympus is too big to fit in my pockets, so I am interested in the new S100.

However, it seems prudent to wait 6 months. See how other buyers find the photo quality and confirm if the (alleged) S95 lens reliability issues have been fixed.
