The first one is astonishing.

All but the first two taken from a recent hiking trip.

Judging by the 70-300, the 10-24 WR, the recent Fujicrons and the FF competition, I would say Fuji would sacrifice build quality (not wr) in favor of light weight and low price. So I would say up ...

I've owned the original LX100 and now the II, plus Fuji X100, XE-1, XE-2, X-S10. I have posted a few comparisons here and used them throughout the years. In short: LX100 is a great looking camera, ...

Wow, thanks for pointing this out. Such a lens would disrupt half of my lens line up, lol. It would sell like pancakes.

The first one is a fantastic pic. I took the liberty of providing an alternative, hope it's ok and you like it:

Very helpful and so good to see the AF improvement!

All shot with the 50-140 and 2x TC (ignore the exif focal length and aperture on most due to out-of-date firmware) except the last one. 5 shots merged

The first pic is astonishing. Do you find more than 450mm FF equivalent is needed more than 20% of the time with your bird pics?

This time just one pic purely for comparison purposes with and without the TC. Below are the files side by side, zoomed and cropped in assuming the orange paint would be a bird far away, about ...

Thanks. Turns out it was a firmware issue; I had never updated the firmware on my 50-140. Just did and the focal length and aperture display correctly now. Good catch.

Got it, I may not have latest firmwares, will check.

Correct as in 140mm or 280mm ?

Thanks. Your pics are generally sharper than mine at 1:1 (I posted in haste so not all of mine were actually sharp at 1:1). And nicer given nicer birds:) I'm curious how much better the new 70-300 ...

Sorry, I was referring at IQ. Birds in flight may have to wait as it sounds challenging.
