zzzxtreme: This lens is less than $400 in asia. Don't pay more than that. It comes free with D5600. Expect the price to fall quickly

I think it is the FX lense that is being showcased ,not the DX one that u refer to .......but I could be wrong ...!

Mond: Yes, but does its shutter work?

Yes the shutter works at purchase ..:)
.Nikon by now has probably standardised its protocol for shutter recall ....for this body shutter replacement/service is likely to be every 3 months.:)

QuietOC: The SL2 is more similar to the D5500/D5600.

absolutely....
and should have been in fact compared to the D5500/D5600 duo..!

mortyski: The only Nikon that interests me is the V4 or V5 if they ever make it...other wise I'll go back to Canon and m4/3

I may be wrong ...but I feel Nikon ..is slowly turning to the philosophy that .....

"NIKON may not be top selling camera/lense[CANON is ].
.but if one wants to feel privileged ,one MUST shoot Nikon "

Apparently they are very much above 'ordinary ' events like PHOTOKINA [that every- one looks forward to ]..to announce any thing significant ...

they will announce products as and when they [products] get developed ..

regards

Nikon do a fantastic job at wiring-up the excellent Sony sensors .....at times much better than the manufacturers themselves ...
however their QC for rest of the body leaves a lot to be desired.....

Searching: Mr. Sanyal's opinions are pretty worthless as he has demonstrated in the past. I don't know how he hangs on to his position at DPR. On top of that, he simply is rude with some of the posters and he shows a lack of class and respect.

This personalised scathing comment is totally uncalled for ...and superfluous as well ...!!
Kindly try to stick to the main subject as elaborated in the video....

same .... sensor as the earlier one [ as in the X100s ...]

And no mention of 'skin smearing in jpegs at high ISOs'..........!![unless I am missing something here]
not to say that one does expect some NR at high ISO in jpegs but this 'affliction' pertains specifically to the out put form XTrans sensors ..except may be the new 24 MP offering .....

some comments in this regard from the dpr/users will certainly be appreciated...:)

thx1138: The author must be blind. The RAW DR test clearly shows the Fuji at +4EV is actually slightly worse than the Nikon at +5EV and much worse at +5EV. Also it's clearly not ISO invariant, the ISO 200 + 4 EV boost is noticeably worse than the ISO 800 +2EV boost. It seems +3EV is best you can do.

Also the studio scene shows the Nikon reveals finer detail.

bingo...

to Mr Butler .
.I was hoping to see high ISO portraits from the X70 ...I think u have added only for the X-PRO-2 ...I think they are different sensors ...

Kindly see if it is possible to add some high ISO portraits in the X70 section too ...:)
