About me:

Recently I bought a Nikon D750 with a Nikkor 50 mm 1.8, a Nikkor 24-120 mm and a Nikkor 70-300 mm and I am trying to master that gear. Also still use my "old" NIKON D300s with a Sigma 8-16 mm f4.5-5.6, a Nikkor 35 mm f 1.8, a Nikkor 18-200 mm VR f3.5 - 5.6. . I explored the possiblilities of smart phone photography using a Nokia 808 Pureview and now use Nokia Lumia 1020 when I go out without a "real" camera.
I've taken pictures all my life. Starting in Amsterdam when I was 16 . Street photography was, and still is, my passion. In 'galleries' you will find a link to my first Amsterdam street pictures. Black and White of course. A link on this homepage shows my present 'addiction': HDR photography. I like to tonemap HDR in an extreme way. I realize many photographers may no longer consider them 'photos' but I don't mind. For me photographic realism is not my primary aim. My goal is to express the 'soul' of a scene. And that's what I try to do with my tonemapping. From now on I call my pictures 'scenes'. Classic HDR photos tend to be rather static because moving objects in classic HDR are a problem. My recent HDR 'scenes' often include people to intensify their emotional appeal. For me this is an extra challenge.
I love Digital imaging as 'magic art'

tiberiousgracchus: Great quality visually and the sound is good perhaps a little muffled. The vocals cant be heard well at all. For a phone its very good imo

In the same cluster of video's you find another 808 video:
The Animals & Friends - Don't let me be misunderstood.
Vocals, piano and ambient sound much better there.

There are allready hundreds and hundreds impressive pictures on the internet made by the Nokia 808. This is a serious camera in it's domain and it deserves a full review here at dp.review. I am confident dp.review will do so.
