That's exactly my point, though. People are expecting reviews when they won't actually be actual reviews. "quick looks" at most to explain the functionality and get sample images, but no one will ...

You seem to be a little confused with past and present tense. The initial development announcement was just that, no specs were fully confirmed at the time. I highly doubt anyone would have cameras ...
-
I doubt it. The specs were not even 100% finalised.
-
Do a quick look through on the thread, it was already pointed out to me.

They have the EF mount, so they technically still are EF lenses. They just don't have the autofocus capabilities. Canon denotes EF in the lens name to indicate that it autofocuses, not to indicate ...
-
I don't see how they wouldn't work - all EF lenses work with the adapter just fine.
-
Fair enough. It is indeed a bit odd for DPReview to not mention it.
-
Can you point to a photography site that has mentioned it, outside the usual rumour mills?
-
Again, the chart was made for DSLRs with cross-type AF points. The EOS R only has vertical AF points, meaning it won't do well with anything that has a lot of horizontal lines. Any focus issue is ...

Again, why are you here? This isn't a Nikon forum.

He's making excuses as to why Sony is radioactive saturation/green-tint central 😂 Imagine having a camera system where you never have to worry about poor colour reproduction... practically ...
-
I've never had an issue with autofocus with any EF lens I have with my EOS R. Even my ancient EF 70-210mm and EF 24-85mm are extremely accurate, and they're both from the early 90s. The AF points ...

You must have massive clown shoes - I never get mine even in circular fisheye shots, and I don't exactly have small feet.
-
You're describing a.... fisheye. This is different to a fisheye.
-
It's a characteristic of a lot of non-macro lenses.
-
Custom profiles cannot fully mitigate how different sensors behave in terms of colour. Sony is notorious for having a lingering green tint, radioactive saturation and weird colour shifts overall.
-
My experience with an A7III says otherwise in terms of colours. Even "canon colour" profiles don't even come close. Don't you have another forum to get back to?
-
@Magnar W "If some colors are off in a calibrated raw file workflow, it must be user error! " Nope. Again, I can get Nikon cameras VERY close. Obviously the sensors they use from Sony are a bit...

The EOS R has some advantages over most mirrorless cameras: - better AF, down to -5ev I think. Only the likes of the Sony A9 cameras beat this, I think. - Easy to use interface - Insane battery ...

I took a look - the centre at 35mm still is reasonably sharp, it's just the corners that suffer the worst at such close distances. I also reckon the shallow DOF is affecting it as it's not ...
