For completeness (possible value for future readers), the remote that I bought on AZUS that is no longer available is potentially available in other regions on AZ or other outlets (such as eBay). T ...

I asked the question on the AZ page if the remote works for the GFX100s and the answer from the seller is: "Yes it works." Of course, if one orders it and it doesn't work, you can return it ...

Are you sure? I do not have the JM-II, but the AZ page lists the GFX50S. I have both the GFX100S and GFX50S and they both have the same remote port, the 2.5 3-conductor. The JM-II has a 2.5mm plug. ...

Oops, wrong link. And I find that the wireless remote that I *did* buy on AZ is no longer available. However, this one (which I've not used myself) still is: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07MS689B6 Chris

I'm going to guess that trying this on a modern operating system is going to make a difference. And no surprise as the application is probably relying on OS support for XML XPATH querying of the ...

That's only one of the image counters (probably total). You might be able to see both counters (mechanical and total, deriving electronic from the difference) by parsing the EXIF yourself. Chris

Just checking. Of course, it has to be an D850 RAW for this to work, but it might take a RAW from another body and give erroneous results. I just checked with a D850 RAW I shot less than 3 months ...

A RAW file from which camera body?

I also use the iOptron SkyGuider Pro. I just stopped in to add that you should make sure everything is in the same weight class. That is, not only should your tripod be rated to hold the whole ...

<waves away puffs of testosterone> Thanks for reminding me why I almost never come into this forum area much anymore.

If anything, I am shooting on tripod more since I got a camera with IBIS. That does not mean that the IBIS caused me to use a tripod more. When I moved to the GFX system, I used a tripod more and ...

I don't see them either, but the OP got 3 likes. I wonder if that means that they did appear for some time.

I keep a bunch of mine in rotation on a large digital picture frame. I wish they made the frames larger though, and that there were more of them that worked in portrait mode. Chris

When I got my GFX system, that took over as the kit to use for most of my photography. But not everything. Chris

Zooms are always "more flexible" than primes. I'm sure it's good, as all/most native GF lenses are. Are you asking about the zoom's quality compared to the 23mm prime?

I thought I would find my old time-lapse to demo the 24-70 light leak issue when I thought to google. It was a fruitful search—did you even attempt it? https://www.google.com/search?q=nikon+24-70mm ...

I discovered the leak with a time-lapse. It manifests as a bent rectangle (shape of the window curved on the cylinder of the lens hitting the sensor, no surprise once you see it). And in the ...

What do you mean? I experienced it multiple times, found others online that had as well, so applied the tape.

Thanks Craig, but this is totally different from that. There is no grind at all, it is very smooth for the amount that it zooms (~55-70mm). What I didn't mention in my first post is that I did get ...
