You should check out Sigma's point and shoot cameras then! They don't even bother getting a CIPA rating.

It has already been acknowledged a couple of times in the comments. Even then, not everybody wants Tamron's 17-35 F2.8-F4 so, whatever.
-
@Stacey_K I don't think I would give up my F2.8 glass (if that's what you're also using) for one of these. Certainly, if I didn't have my 24-70 and 70-200 F2.8 already, this would be a great option...

I wouldn't ever dare call the Nikon 24-120mm F4 "tack sharp" but, it's good enough for most purposes.
-
There's no point in putting a teleconverter on that lens. Just purchase a 70-300mm lens which will perform vastly better than slapping a teleconverter on a 35-150mm.
-
The 35-150mm lens is quite the interesting focal length considering we haven't seen such zooms for a while.
-
Arun H, your sarcasm writing needs work then. :P

Well, at least the lenses look really nice. I think that the RP does plenty right to be a valid choice. The gripes about it though: The sensor, eh, at $1300 it's not a heart breaker. That tiny...

Well, the Nikon 24-70 F2.8G and VR were already overweight. So, any reductions in size are worth celebrating.
-
Things would just be less confusing if people would just state their units. The $ sign is used in many places. Just say $000 USD, or AUD in this case.
-
Sony's system is fairly complete, ain't it? I don't see it really missing any essential lenses. All the E-mount needs are the exotic super telephoto lenses.
-
@Alex Akai I read an article a few years back about how a large proportion of flat-earthers internet popultation are just trolls egging the "real" flat-earthers on. Wish I remembered which...

Because it took a long time to get a photo. People had to stand still for a long while to where smiling got tiring.
-
I say get a used D800 for around $900 USD or less (D800e about $1100 or less), and then Tamron's "first-gen" VC zoom lenses for about $700 USD, or less, each. You can get yourself a complete system...
-
I have some wedding photographer friends who really wanted the A7III but, the space between the grip and the lenses was just too narrow. Their fingers would be rubbing against the G-Master lenses,...
-
There's a joke here, folks. No need to be so serious on this one.
-
I would like to know about this area too. However, this would probably be a huge undertaking and if they were to start today, I wouldn't expect anything until at least the end of this year.
-
To help some of those who don't "get it"; one way to view these are as social devices. You don't buy these with the intention of printing for yourself. These are bought to give the prints away....

Nikon's PF technology does seem promising. I think Canon also has something similar as well. I wonder if they can work such optics into zoom lenses.
-
@Thorgrem I think that Nikon's starting F4 lenses address size concerns nicely. The 24-70, and the advent 14-30 are fairly comparable, in size, to the Olympus Zuiko Pro lenses. I think their 70-200...
