DanPyne: Some sweet alternatives just go sweeter.
Mine was Picktorial.cpm for half the price, actually, now it's quarter the price.

For most cameras and lenses, yes. As far as I know.

ewelch: Where did this come from with the nerve to charge the same as Photoshop/Lightroom?

No it's not, it's half price. Adobe is 10$ a month (this might get doubled soon) when paid yearly (no other option), and Picktorial is 5$ a month when paid yearly.

Just like if you use a smartphone you're not a serious photographer? Open your eyes mate.

Horshack: Is it DAM good?

It is for me.
But you can try it, it's the part that's free, among others.

macanon: Oh no! Not another subscription app. and for a monthly fee that is the same as Adobe's Photography plan with LR + PS. Is this app really that good?

You get everything with the perpetual license as well.

Not the same, half.
If you do jpeg, it's free.
Well worth it imho.

Casey_S: I keep reading mostly negative things about Luminar, I hope things change for them.

I see Picktorial released a brand new version today, not sure why it's not mentioned on the main page.

agreed

So can I put a Canon in there?

About a decade late in the game I'd say. NiSi is the king of filters these days.

All about execution. Time will tell if this works

I like it. Not very original but pretty.

Bershatsky: I'm so done with companies charging for presets! Most of them suck. If I want my raw files to look like JPEGs, I can use Lightroom. I'm a Fuji shooter too, and it has gotten loads better over the years.

Want a film preset, try Alien Skin Exposure.

If the quality is good, and from what I see and read here, it's really good then what's 15 bucks (almost the monthly cost of LR)? I really do think more effort goes into these as they need to match curtain looks and not just do whatever they want.
As long as you're happy with the tool you're using, that's the most important :)

It's worth so much more than 40$ (or 40+15).
They could easily sell it for twice as much. In most major stuff Picktorial kicks lightroom butt. And it's FAST.
Adobe, take note.

Ditched it for Picktorial's X-trans. Not looking back.

I think it already now can take over for most users. Its version 3 is definitely in the big league. An underdog to root for.

Nice video, but just a bag. Not really for photographers and it also looks too inconspicuous.
